Stumbled down a side street and there it was. Liked the look of the place so stepped inside to take a peek. Lovely welcome from the barman, great music playing and Ozzie on the wall! Just had to sit down and order a gin and ginger to soak up the atmosphere. The owner chatted to us about the pubs history and again, made us feel very welcome. Would love to visit again.

Brilliant eclectic pub with a great vibe!! Super atmosphere and some amazing people who make you feel so welcome. A good crowd of regulars including Pete in the photo who used to be pub landlord! Great beers on tap and this old building is also haunted so some tales to be told by the residents! Some great bands play here too. A must on any pub crawl!

For some reason I always thought of this as a posh place.
It's more of a rock bar.
I went to see there. Good atmosphere 4.70 for a Guinness. Cash only.

Great place for a pint. Although it's recognised as a rock themed pub, it is not that at all, a mix of people of all ages and they play a wide variety of music. Note that they only take cash, hence the four and not five stsr

Delighted to stumble across a rock pub during a long and convoluted train journey to Machynlleth (appropriately playing Run to the Hills). Friendly staff, great beer and brilliant decor.

This is the 'Rock' pub of Shrewsbury located in a half timbered building.
It's all you want from such a place with good beer, retro rock on the jukebox and beer sticky floors. Ohhhh and you need to pay cash.

A pub that's hidden away. I think more of a locals pub. I've been in about 6 times over the years. A very dark gothic style pub. Still a nice pub to call in on a pub crawl or general drink.

Great character pub which has a strong rock music heart. When I visited the beer was good and the duke box was going strong until some dude in a Hawaiian shirt pulled the plug on it ?.

We hoped to find a bar similar to Wolverhamptons Giffard Arms, but thought it might be a stretch in ?posh? Shrewsbury. We found it though! The Yorkshire is everything we wanted it to be: open jukebox; dark and dingy (in a good way); interesting characters dotted about? perfect! Bikers outside added to its atmosphere and overall, I think, was my favourite visit of the day. ????
