What a sad excuse for a shop. We went in here to choose a comic for my son and the selection was dire. About 1/6th of what a WH Smiths usually has in other branches.

Slow. One staff. Queue of ten long. Sort it out

Nothing remarkable. Neither good or bad.

I was purchasing some new pens and couldn't help but overhear some above and beyond customer service. Holly was helping an elderly lady that got confused with a discounted item she was purchasing. Holly was very friendly, helpful and had brilliant tonality to her voice, she quickly resolved the issue under pressure as there was a queue forming. She greeted every customer with a smile. It's so refreshing to see such a kind gesture.I did ask her name before I left(1:30pm 06/02/2023)

White tie on labels advertised at 3.50 on the shelf when I get to the cash desk he asks me for 4.50, when I mentioned it he said there's no one to check the prices! That's really reassuring.

Excellent for prices on books but went in today and went to buy what I thought was this week's That's Life magazine but was last week's..new magazine is out on Thursdays so not too hot on getting new magazines out on the shelf (went to local newsagents instead)

Rude woman would not serve my boyfriend a scratch card when he was 16 before the limit turned to 18 she kept insisting that the age was 18 when the law was that at that time you can still serve 16year old's.

Good range of books, but not always the best price. ASDA is very competitive for book prices, but doesn't have a huge range. Still a decent shop and I recommend giving it a visit to see for yourself.

A decent WHSmith location over two floors, one of them being in Darwin Shopping Centre, the other being via Pride Hll. It isn't a huge store, but it does have a decent selection of books and stationery and even a Post Office on the mall-level floor, while it does feel like one of the typical old-style WHSmth branches, the store is tidy and the staff seemed friendly enough. It can be a little expensive, especially for books, but it is a pretty decent store within the town centre, and housing a Post Office is pretty useful, although it's a shame the latter isn't a standalone location as I always prefer these to housing a Post Office inside another store, as they've done here. 3*

Google shows WH Smith as closing at 1800 hrs on a Saturday. Sign on shop window states 1730 hrs. Young lady behind counter kept checking her watch as I was standing in the queue waiting to be served at approximately 1728 hrs. I suggest that you amend the opening times you have detailed online and then the staff wouldn't be so frustrated at we customers waiting to be served. The customer ahead of me was asked "would you like your receipt" and the best that I got was "receipt?". Poor show all round.
