Rude staff. I know it was busy but when told to wait my turn when I simply asked if there was a lift available for my elderly mother, in between customers, was insulting. A simple question with the reply of ?no, sorry? would have sufficed. I didn?t need to be told to wait behind 10 customers for 15 minutes to get a response. We can all multitask. Actually, the choice of books was poor. No matter, Amazon came to the rescue. Great choice, half the price and delivered the next day all from the comfort of my own home. I even got a note to thank me for my custom. Shop local? Not waterstones any more.

Good bookshop, just very expensive. Do they really need to put such a high markup on books? For example, a new Cookbook by a well-known chef. £26 in Waterstones, half that price in WH Smiths, amazon etc.

Doesn't everyone love browsing in Waterstones? The Shrewsbury branch is warm and inviting on a cold day in the run up to Christmas and a great place to find a gift for someone special.
