As always nothing is too much trouble for Ali and her team at toolstation shrewsbury. Always helpful, always pleasant. As a frequent customer it's a pleasure to shop there. Whether it's a collection or return it is handled respectfully, promptly and with a smile. The staff Alan and Kathryn equally as friendly and efficient. Top marks toolstation.

I took back an Einhell air compressor that was faulty. It was outside the 30 day money back policy but the Toolstation website advises that if products are under warranty they can be returned to store for repair or replacement. The lady who I think is a supervisor was utterly rude and unhelpful. Zero friendliness or manners. First she said I would have to contact Einhell directly and it couldn't be returned in store. She seemed quite pleased about that. I told her that's not what it says on the website. She then gave me a post it note with a phone number on for Einhell. I called it there and then and unsurprisingly they told me Toolstation should accept it and send it to their repair team. The member of staff seemed annoyed by that and then kept me waiting for ages in an awkward silence while she stared at a screen, clearly not having a clue what to do next. She then explained how I would have to pay if it turned out the fault was due to user error, and that if she processed the return it would take a lot longer than if I did it myself. Absolute BS - she just didn't want the hassle of doing it herself. I couldn't be bother to listen to any more so I took the machine away and sorted it through Einhell (who were excellent). Awful customer service from Toolstation and it will be Screwfix every time from now on.

As other reviews have mentioned, very rude Eastern European lady running the store.
Collected an order and firstly it looked used, worn label and no packaging, then realised it was not the size I ordered. Immediately went back into the store to say that the item was wrong, but the lady pretty much made out that she was not wrong and didn?t offer any resolution. Even with the tape measure proving it was the wrong item, and then managing to see the worn label which showed the sizing, she still did not offer an apology.
I asked for the correct item to be delivered to me to save the 40 mile round trip, but she refused to do this and said there would be a delivery charge. No customer service or willingness to help.
Whilst waiting at the counter I went on the Toolstation app, and it offered FREE next day delivery anyway. No idea why she couldn?t do this for me from the store or at least told me to order via the app.
I asked for a refund, and again without any apology or communication she printed off the refund proof and pretty much threw it at me.
I?ve got nothing against Toolstation, but this lady needs some training if she is going to be customer facing, if not, leave her to mop the floors and clean the toilets.
