I made a special trip to this pub for their Pie and so glad I did as it was outstanding, it was a Steak and Ale pie and it had large chunks of Steak in it, pastry was perfect and nicely presented.
10/10 for the pie. Will be back again.

Didn't eat there but the food looked good from looking at other patrons foods and the prices were very good.

The Dun Cow is a very old historic pub. There is a wide range of beers, lager and cider, including three hand pulled cask conditioned real ales which were in excellent condition when i visited. The staff are friendly and told me some of the history of the pub.
Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options on the menu.
Parking: The pub has a car park
Wheelchair accessibility: There are quite a few steps up to the entrance.

We came for Sunday lunch on 14/07 it was very quiet and only 2 tables were in the restaurant, we had 2 starters (halloumi cheese and chicken wings and they were lovely, no complaints there.) We then had our Sunday lunches to which we were very disappointed with, we had the chicken and pork dinners. The chicken was dry and no stuffing came with it and no crackling with the pork as both advertised, the veg was watery with only carrots, peas, tiny pieces of cauliflower and cabbage and there wasn?t much of it, definitely not enough to feed 2 people, we ordered extra Yorkshire puddings and my partner had stuffing and they were the same as on our plate not cooked properly and just dough, the Yorkshire puddings were like 3 inches of dough which neither of us ate. We did send the dinners back as we just couldn?t eat them, we told the lady we couldn?t eat the dinners and the chicken was dry, Yorkshire puddings weren?t cooked enough and the whole meal was just not nice, she asked if our starters were okay and we said yes they were good to which she replied ?at least you liked something? which wasn?t the point, she then walked into the kitchen and said ?they don?t like the food? to which I?m presuming was the chef, loud enough for us to hear. We finished our drinks and my partner went to pay, there was no communication between the restaurant staff and the bar staff as the lady on the bar has no idea we had complained so she had to go and speak to the other member of staff in the restaurant, when she came back she took off the chicken dinner and extra Yorkshire pudding, and my partner had questioned the other dinner and the reply was ?we had only complained about the chicken dinner? which wasn?t true as we sent BOTH dinners back, my partner didn?t want to cause a scene so just paid for it, which he definitely shouldn?t of done, we have been here a few times and it has been great previously but unfortunately this time has completely put us off coming again and we shall be taking our money elsewhere next time.

After hearing the hype of the Dun cow, I was sadly disappointed.
Being fathers day, my partner felt it was the perfect opportunity for me to go and have some food there. With it being Sunday also, it was perfect day to get a roast
Unfortunately to my disappointed it didnt meet my expectation.
upon arriving, we was directed to our table by being pointed to from the entrance of the dining area.
When booking the table my partner booked for 2 adults and 1 child, also saying our son was 1 year's old
When we asked for a highchair, was told they didn't have any highchairs. Mythed to why this information wasn't given when making the booking, but we decided to carry on and make do with our sons pram. After failed attempts to get him to sit in the chair at the table. After this we asked for a kids menu, to then be told there wasn't one, and all that was done, is the mains were downsized to accommodate a child.
Anyhow we placed our order and tbf all was going good. The starters were nice, and decently portioned.
But the roasts weren't as pleasing as the starters.
The beef was well done, and tbh at the start of the service, I was kinda expecting to see some pink, being cooked fresh. The roasties were hard, and held no fluffy texture. The Yorkshire puds didn't seem to be cooked on site, the gravy tho was lovely.
Like don't get wrong the service was lovely, they came across friendly and polite.
Just a shame about the mains and the lack to accommodate a family with a toddler.
The pub itself held some lovely characteristics, and unique past features.
I'm sure this would be a perfect venue for locals to come and drink and have a quick bite
Just a shame my experience didn't meet my expectations

Quick phone call to these guys, just to check on any height restrictions as travelling in campervans. No problem. Food was delicious full all day breakfast. Dogs welcome in outdoor area. Welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely visit again. Group of six in vans. Thank you.x

Excellent food, the steak pie was the best I have had for a very long time. Portions are OK. They will change the accompaniments around, mash for chips etc.
The bar girl was very friendly too.
We crashed the local quiz night and failed miserably, it was ot very busy at all.

Went here with my parents and my partner, food was great, all very hot and my steak was perfectly cooked. Good selection of drinks, and reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning
