Well it's lovely inside posh almost. Menu reasonable but pricey. Have to say quality and quantity did not match the price tag. Good selection of real ales but again pricey though well kept.

we have been here multiple times now and it never disappoints! sunday lunch is delicious to the point where all 4 of us had clear plates! the staff are always so friendly and welcoming and accommodate for our dog which is always a bonus for us. on another occasion they managed to cater for 8 of us last minute on a saturday evening which shows their commitment. they are always busy and very popular. we love shrewsbury and come back regularly with each time having at least one stop at the armoury! it is by far my favourite pub in shrewsbury and we love it!

On the advice of locals we tried this for a birthday lunch. Arrived at noon - the place was virtually empty- and followed the instructions to wait to be seated. Ignored by four members of staff, we were finally spoken to. "We've got no room for walk-ins," we were told, with disdain. If it was fully booked, THEN PUT OUT SIGNAGE AND UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE, fir crying out loud! AND be polite about it. Won't be back.

Fantastic Festive Day!! The atmosphere was lovely, we all had the Turkey dinner which was so good!! All the staff were attentive and helpful!! Special shout to the lovely Sarah who was amazing!! We will be back ??

A massive shout out to The Armoury for hosting our work Xmas party last night. We were a noisy group of 40 and they delivered the best Christmas food I?ve eaten, the service was exceptional in what was a very busy restaurant and they were patient and tolerant. I would thoroughly recommend. Thank you.

We had a lovely Xmas lunch here today with my friend, the staff found us a nice table at very short notice, although the restaurant was very busy. The server was friendly & efficient, food was excellent & you turned around what was a bad day, to a lovely day (as our Xmas meal was booked at another establishment & they had let us down badly) First class service & food, we will most certainly be coming here again....

Perfect Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Everything beautifully cooked and full of flavour. Friendly and efficient service. Lovely cosy atmosphere and gorgeously decorated for Christmas.

Walked in with nobody to greet us so had no idea where to go to tell someone about our reservation. Didn?t have both things I wanted on the menu. Ended up with fish and chips and the chips weren?t great. It was extremely hot in there too.

Visited today with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Was welcomed straight away and shown to our table. The staff and management couldn't be anymore welcoming. We started with pate, which I couldn't fault!! Then we had the roast beef, the beef just melted in the mouth, absolutely amazing quality,could not fault it. And to seal the deal we had the sticky toffee pudding and it didn't disappoint Will definitely be returning
