This was the nearest hotel that we could get for an overnight stay following a day at the Quarry for 'Let's Rock'. It's a 10 minute taxi ride into the town costing, well we gave taxi drivers a tenner each way, cost less than a bus ride for the 4 of us. Staff had great welcoming personalities and was very helpful, telling us about the taxi's. Rooms were modern and very clean. Free car parking, garage over the car park has everything you need, there's also a pub, Burger King and Starbucks onsite. We had a lovely meal at the Red Lion, a sizzling pub which is just over the Island 5/6 minute walk, there's also an Aldi on the Island. For the money, was very happy! Thank you.

We stayed at Battlefield Travelodge for one night when we attended the Let?s Rock festival in Shrewsbury. Lovely Travelodge , very clean and the manager was very friendly and helpful. It?s around a 10 min taxi ride in to Shrewsbury for around £9. Pub attached to the travelodge is very nice with breakfast around £9. There is also a Burger King and Starbucks on site. Definitely stay there again in the future. The site as plenty of free parking also.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights last year and again this year for the Let?s Rock Festival in Shrewsbury. The hotel manager ?Chris? was very efficient, friendly and delivered excellent customer services, nothing was too much trouble ???? We will definitely be returning next year and highly recommend as a good base not too far away. A pre booked taxi to the festival was around £10 each way.

Stayed one night and as always Travelodge delivered. Lovely Travelodge with a pub 20 yards from the front door. Arrived bang on check in time and Natalie welcomed us with a friendly face. Checked in but door key wouldn?t work and despite Natalie?s best efforts the door mechanism was faulty so she rapidly went to reception and came back with a different room for us. She was full of local knowledge and gave us the best advice to get us into Shrewsbury. Met Chris along side Natalie the next morning as we checked out and his customer service is as well. Great staff , great Travelodge. Thank you.

Convenient and comfortable stop, with free parking, for visiting Shrewsbury with a Park and Ride not far from the hotel . Starbucks next door for breakfast and two pub / grills nearby for evening meals.

Pleasant hotel. Hairdryer would of been nice. Plus a cup in the bathroom for rinsing. A quiet environment, easy access to motorway. Town within an easy distance. Plenty of sightseeing. Worth a trip. The area is lovely.

Avoid . The soundproofing inside the hotel and outside the hotel is awful. I could hear everything going on in the room opposite when they were talking normally. No staff on reception to complain. The noise outside woke me up at 6am. Not a pleasant sleep at all

We've only got good things to say about our stay. On Sunday 18th June, we had to check out of another hotel at 11am. We were booked into the Travelodge Battlefield for the period 18th June - 22nd June and had a 3pm check in time. That left us 4 hours in between stays and we had 9 bags with us. We don't have a car, so we had to get a taxi from one hotel to another. We called ahead to the Travelodge in Battlefield and Chris the Manager answered. We explained our situation and he was so accommodating. He couldn't do enough for us. He told us to come early with all our bags and he prepared a room for us himself so that we could check in early. He is a fantastic asset to Travelodge and we hope Travelodge recognise that they have an absolute star in their ranks. The hotel on the whole was friendly and our room was superb. Thank you Chris for your friendly welcome and the way you helped us. Little thing for you, but it meant so much to us. Regards, Gayle & Cleveland

Welcoming staff. clean rooms. Good location for park and ride to avoid driving into town. Two Henry's pub/restaurant on site for good food and a wide range of beers spirits. Negatives of our trip :- Room 8 shower needs an upgrade as very weak and detracted from the complete value of the stay. Also (not relevant to the travelodge) The Two Henry's did not provide a breakfast menu during the week due to chef problems. Good value compared with others available.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The Receptionist Corrie was very helpful recommending places to visit and eat. Will definitely come back again. Shrewsbury is a beautiful town, well worth a visit.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Location good on outskirts of Shrewsbury. Easy to get into town centre. Good facilities on doorstep. Two Henry?s pub/restaurant next door serves good food, there is also a Burger King and Spar shop.

We have stayed at the Travelodge in Battlefield for a number of weeks now due to being forced out of our home after a house fire and the kindness we?ve received has been so lovely. Chris the Manger has always gone above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable and have everything we need. I really like mornings when all the staff are cheerful and say good morning to everyone including my children. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable and stocked up with tea and coffee. The beds are incredibly comfortable and my children are sleeping really well. All the staff have made us feel like we?re more than guests, always really friendly too. The location is good, local to pubs and supermarkets.

I cannot thank Chris (manager) and Stacey (overnight staff) enough for their amazing care, kindness and humanity. I was abandoned overnight in 4 degrees in a vehicle with no heating in the unlit car park adjacent to the Travel Lodge by one of the two leading roadside recovery associations. After 5 hours I was driven to seek warmth, although I was supposed to be staying with the vehicle waiting for recovery which was cancelled at 3am. They gave me warm drinks, a really cosy place to stay and endless sympathy. Unfortunately the hotel was full or I would have been offered a room. They really were my saviours! I am sure that they look after all their guests with the same degree of superb excellence. Thank you both again from the bottom of my heart.
