My wife and I have both exclusively used Specsavers Shrewsbury for all our optical needs for several years. This is for good reason: the quality of the service that we receive is always extremely high. My recent experience - eye test, choosing new glasses frames and lens options, having the fit of the frames finely tuned was again a totally positive experience.

Zero Stars would be better.The two store Directors need to address this feedback."ReWare" glasses made from recycled plastic.I actually thought they was a Brand name not a remanufacture from recycled plastic , no literature advising me of this before purchase.No information to show customers what they are buying exactly.Mine feel cheap & noisey & too flexible , only when complained in store to staff I was told they are made from remanufactured materials and this is why. (I feel ripped off & disrespected).Varifocals 6 choices of reading area not shown to me at point of sale. Only explained via iPad once I mentioned that I wasn't happy on my visit to complain.My head is having to be raised up at an angel to see properly when reading text as varifocal area is in a small area at the bottom of lens.Staff Refusal to give our complaints proceedure in store just told refer to website & spoke to with an attitude.Refusal to give out head office details just told to refer to website.Very Poor lighting in store feedback from me not listened to or suggestion valued. Comments not taken on board & kind of laughed at or employess said they couldn't change it.No feedback customer service forms in store good or bad.Why ?Is it Ageism - no provision for instore complaints or feedback , good or bad as actually some people including a lot of Specsavers customers don't have access to the Internet.PlusThe staff in store actually an attitude of we don't deal with feedback or complaints, they say see website.Very poor service.Very poor quality glasses.Very poor staff attitude, just reading from the same scripts.The products Specsavers sell are emotive and tactile and I felt rushed and uncomfortable in the shop.An awful retail experience.I won't be a returning customer.Store DirectorsMohamed Rashid & Devan Chauhan

Have been a customer for several years. Recently went for an eye test and required new glasses. Optometrists was great. Chose my frames, from the "2 for 1" range.Had a ticket that entitled me to 25% off so paid £123 in total.A couple of weeks later picked up said glasses and was only given 1 pair. When I queried this I was told I was not entitled to the 2 for 1 offer as I had used a discount ticket. This was not mentioned at all when paying, and I shall not be using Specsavers again, after all, there's plenty of opticians around. Disappointed!!

My recent visit to Specsavers went smoothly. It was a very busy Monday morning. My wait was less than three minutes. The highly skilled Optician was clear and concise. My sight had changed very little and a new prescription was not needed. Would highly recommend this service to family and friends.

Very good service. My prescription is complicated but the optician was highly efficient and knowledgeable. Dispensing staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend specsavers to anyone

Outstanding service. Popped in as my glasses had just broken to see if they had any advice as it isn't my local branch. Julie rang my local branch to check the details as my last prescription wasn't showing and found they were still under warranty. She replaced them straight away. She could have quite easily just directed me back to my local branch but took the time to deal with it
