Have visited this store several times as we visit the area on a regular basis. Have always found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. From sports clothing to camping equipment, this store has a huge amount of stock. Great prices too.

The most ridiculous situation dealt with terribly by the store manager.
I bought a cookset from store but when I got to my destination, I realised it was missing the lid.
I returned to store with the receipt but with no ?proof? that the lid was missing they were nonchalant and dismissive. All I wanted was the lid that I had paid for. I wasn?t asking for a refund or anything other than the lid to the set I had bought.
I was on my way out to go camping so bought another set but now I have 1 and a half of a set.
Quick email to customer services and it?s all sorted. I am told they should have just given me a lid as I had the receipt. What a shame the store staff couldn?t do their job. Fortunately this isn?t my home store so I won?t be returning.

A good place to shop for outdoor and camping gear proving you sign up for the £5 annual membership. A large store with a wide range. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful.

Given up trying to shop in Go Outdoors generally. Locked changing rooms, and you spend more time trying to find somebody to unlock them than the rest of your visit. If you need to go and find another size, back to square one. Another chain with the unmistakable whiff of Ashley, and treating us all like common thieves.

I'd decided to visit Go outdoors for the first time with my daughter to get outfitted for a camping trip.
We did struggle to locate the items we wanted and ran into difficulties with the lead shop assistant.
We were unable to find the trolleys and asked one of the staff to help us.
Although the trolleys were outside and concealed from view, we were slightly surprised to be met with a sarcastic comment by the staff member.
It was hard to find items and we did rather a few laps of the store.
The till assistant was helpful and pleasant but had left a tag on and we were stopped and all items reviewed by the staff member who had viewed themself as the comedy genius around the trolleys.
It felt uncomfortable despite a purchase in excess of £500.
We had forgotten to get wellys and returned. We wanted to make sure we had explored all options and due to the presentation of the store by activity rather than function - we had to do a massive lap of the store.
We had asked again a helpful assistant to check stock of an item and none was available.
When we left the aisle it was a strange experience to see a shop assistant scrutinising us as if we were under suspicion.
It was a really odd experience where we asked for help on the trolleys and were treated in a mocking way, we spent considerable time looking for the right products and had our trolleys checked, when we returned we weren't helped and again were under suspicion.
The store was laid out like a cross between a jumble sale and a maze. The activity based areas makes it look like a franchise led store and is unhelpful.
The sizing of the stock is gappy and the more senior staff are incredibly rude. I would buy online going forward and avoid shopping here.
