Really good set of lads and undertook a pre-mot on my car about 2 weeks ago. Listed the work that needed doing and carried this out and the MOT also. Chuffed with their service is an understatement

Dropped my car off for MOT/ABS fault on the 8th August 2023 and was told they were busy and couldn't look at it until the 14th August - I agreed.In between the 14th August and the 28th September 2023 (7 weeks) I heard every excuse in the book as to why the work hadn't been done. The favourite being 'you said no rush', which was true between the 8th and 14th August - NOT nearly two months!The bill for a front wheel bearing, replace two abs bolts, polish the headlights, tighten caliper bolts, two wiper blades plus MOT was £623 of which £420 was labour charge.I was offered £60 off for the delay.So if you're looking for somewhere reliable with any semblance of customer service I'd give this lot a miss.

I have owned a Citroen for 8 years and have often taken it to this garage for repairs, servicing and MOT?s, so am in a good position to write a review.I have experienced the following problems.They charge you for their own mistakes. Last year I heard a noise coming from the rear brakes, but they insisted it was from the front brakes instead and proceeded to dismantle and service them. The noise didn?t go away, so they had to agree that I was correct after all. So they serviced the rear brakes and the problem was solved. But they then charged me for ALL the work including the time they had wasted through their own mistake.They have very poor time management. I have on a number of occasions booked my car in at 9am for a small job that should take an hour. But when I arrive they tell me that their work has run over from the day before and it won?t be ready until 5pm. The garage is out of town and not easy for me to reach, so rather than waiting for an hour at the garage for the job to be done, I then have to book a taxi home and return later. This has happened to me several times, so it is not a rare occurrence.Recently the car has started to judder when pulling away in first gear. They told me their mechanic had free time between 8.30-9.00 and to bring it in so he could take a quick look. The plan being that I would then make a proper appointment for a repair. The mechanic looked at it but couldn?t decide on the cause of the problem. His technical advice was ?Keep driving it until it gets worse?. They then charged me £84 for only 30 minutes work which had accomplished nothing! I believe this is extortionate.I was given no quote or advanced warning that there would be a charge, I just expected them to diagnose the problem so I could then book it in for a full repair. I have twice asked the proprietor Mark to look into this overcharging but he has failed to respond.They obviously have no care or goodwill towards longstanding customers; hence I have given them one star and will not be returning.Services: Steering & suspension repair

My car was leaking water and no one could see me on such short notice, being a domiciliary support worker I rely on my car. Mark got me in super quick even though he was busy and fit me and in fixed the problem! Life saver thank you!!!

Used as had a problem with my Peugeot 208 semi automatic engine management light came on. Did a diagnostic test, ended up having a new catalytic converter fitted, its also had a front and rear lamba sensor. Light came on again as the cat was under warranty they changed it.Had it serviced and Mot there last year. Next I had no brakes, took it back and they took it of me as it was unsafe. Said it was the Servo - turned out to be the box ( I do not understand this) but the box the servo sits in some plastic parts were broke. It was in French cars for 5 months while they were waiting on the part. Evently after a huge bill I collected it and drove it aprrox 1 mile down the road and the Engine Management Light came back on.I have paid over £3,000.00 with all the work prior to my last bill.This has been reported but after picking it up at the beginnging of Feb I'm still riding it round with the light on. Not at all happy. I thought Mark was a truly genuine gentleman.Service: Engine repair

Had an Engine Management Light on my car for nearly 2 years. I tried other garages, but no one could identify the problem. Left it with French car servicing for the day and the problem was identified and corrected. Car drives brilliantly again. Highly recommended!Service: Engine repair

Couldn't of ripped me off harder if I had given them my bank details. This review is about 6 years late, but I think it's well overdue. Took 4k off me to rebuild an engine that then spent it's short life smoking. They couldn't of done less to put things right and just walked away from what should of cost 1k with 3k of my cash. Cowboys.As to the reply below, that's exactly what they did. Took my money and then didn't want to know.
