We've eaten at the cafe in Dobbies twice now. The first time was mother's day last year, my husband had booked an afternoon tea for us all, and it was really lovely. Such a delightful little selection of snacks and cakes, set up for adults and for children, and the service was lovely too. Popped in for lunch today as we were nearby and hungry, service was very quick, the food was hot and tasty, not too expensive, just what we needed.

Very disappointed with our visit here today, quite a lot of the shelves were empty, some items weren't priced and shelving prices didn't match the product, there was a large variety of plants outside but inside was a big letdown

Popped in for breakfast with my son after doing a Parkrun. Apart from the beans & fried egg it was awful! Everything over cooked and tasted a little odd - my son?s veggie sausages had a crust so thick they were hard to cut and my black pudding was inedible! I did raise it with the friendliest looking member of staff who was lovely and replaced my black pudding with mushrooms, which were better but still not great. The first and last time I will ever eat at a Dobbies.From reading some of the other reviews the food issue is clearly not being dealt with and customer complaints not taken seriously.

Food Luke warm staff couldn?t give a damn to be honest the manager is the only one who seems to move about the place and that?s not just now but each time we have been there. The toilets are disgusting by the way it?s a wonder the manager doesn?t have to sweep them out as well. All in all the staff look like they have been sucking on lemons. Come on dobbies give em a sweet treat for all our sakes before we stop coming altogether

An awful experience we met as a family as it is my late wife's birthday today and our children wanted to have a nice breakfast with our family. We ordered cooked breakfasts and when we sat down all of the food was cold, when we returned them the woman serving the food was abrupt and very rude stating what she had just probed the food, I am not sure why she would think we would complain if the food was ok! The staff were also heard moaning about us complaining and laughing about the situation, such terrible customer service we will not be returning and will be advising other people not to bother either.
