Hello, I've just called in for advice about an eye irritation/infection. The lady I spoke to, at a busy time, just after opening, was professional, knowledgeable, thorough and kind with her questioning, and recommended a product to ease my symptoms speedily, so that I could tackle a long drive later today. I'm really grateful for her help.

I?ve been in here a lot just lately for various prescriptions and always found the staff helpful and sympathetic, including helping me source some supplies they don?t stock from another branch just before a bank holiday weekend.

Quick to pick up prescriptions all ready

I was saddened and disappointed by an interaction I had today with a member of staff at the Mytton Oak branch (Glen Young). I had an urgent prescription sent to this pharmacy at 8am on Monday morning, after running out on Friday evening.
Mr Young informed me that they had received the prescription ?only today? (Monday) and that they didn?t have the medication in stock. I explained that I was desperate to access my medication, hoping that perhaps he could kindly look up the stock levels in another branch and I would be prepared to travel if necessary. Instead, he very rudely (and with a distinctly annoyed tone of voice) told me that I should have ordered it sooner.
I acknowledged that it would have been ideal to order sooner, and usually I would have - but I don?t need him to state the obvious. His comment was made maliciously, judgementally, condescendingly, and with a complete disregard for professional boundaries. He was just plain rude.
When I tried to explain that I had suffered a bereavement in the family, he didn?t even listen and instead turned his back while I was talking and walked off to look for the medication behind the counter. He brought back the medication I needed and told me that I was ?lucky? to get their last box. (So they did have it in stock!) He told me to come back in 15 minutes, and although he could see I was visibly upset, he offered no apology. People in the queue commented on how rude he was, and I was grateful for the moral support.
The circumstances leading up to me running out of my medication is no one?s business but my own, but suffice to say that it has been a challenging and distressing time, and the lack of kindness from this man really was the straw the broke the camels back for me today.
When I returned to collect my prescription, I requested his name and informed him that I would be making a complaint to Boots about the interaction I had with him. He responded defensively, trying to mask his rudeness as ?concern? and ?advice?, but I explained that he could have politely and kindly offered advice but that?s not what he did. He tried to gaslight me, but I know what he said and the manner in which he said it. His intention was most definitely not kind - he was totally out of place and it was inappropriate and unnecessary.
A little kindness goes a long way and none of us can know what?s going on in peoples lives or what they are trying to cope with. Words are powerful, but it wasn?t just what he said, it was his whole demeanour and lack of empathy, respect, and compassion. I?m sorry, but people like that shouldn?t be front of house and customer-facing.
I would however like to say that I was very appreciative of the pharmacy owner, who stepped in and spoke to me in his office about what happened. He was polite and professional, respectful and apologetic. I couldn?t fault his support. It?s a shame that the branch is being let down by one member of staff.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This pharmacy has had my prescription (for life saving medication) since Thursday morning of LAST week. It?s Monday. We have been to the pharmacy today 3X. Once at 10AM to be told it?ll be ready tomorrow. After mentioning that I have been out of meds since Wednesday they said it would be ready early afternoon. I call at 12:30 and the lady I spoke to on the phone says ?come in 30 minutes?. My husband goes on my behalf because my physical condition at this point, is deteriorating and I am unable to walk properly. Husband comes back and tells me the pharmacy is closed? In the afternoon. At this point I?ve resigned to passing away at home but my husband goes back out at 14:45 to see if they?re open and they tell him tomorrow, again. This is unacceptable. Theyve told me on the phone that it takes 2 days to fill out a prescription. Which I am aware of. Bit they?ve had this script since Thursday last week. What if someone who needed their medication more urgently than me had to wait this long? And fair enough if they were ?behind? as I was told on the phone but when I politely asked when I went in this morning for it to be filled out and the gentleman told me it?ll be ready midday then it should have been ready. He said he was going to sort it now so I can pick it up later. The whole thing has left me upset and still in pain and unable to walk or pick up my toddler as my condition worsens without medication.

Always busy. Staff do their best. Beware it does close at lunchtime between 13-14 to give the staff a rest from the carnage.

Helpful staff and good systems but the pharmacy, despite it's advertised opening hours, routinely closes 1300-1400.

I had forgotten to bring my tablets when on holiday. I collected the prescription which had been emailed from my surgery and was very pleased with service from this Boots pharmacy. Thank you.

They can't seem to handle repeat prescriptions my mother is having to stretch her medication because of waiting times. It will be ready by tomorrow seems to always be the excuse. NOT HAPPY AT ALL. Very rude and no manners at all. Not surprised they haven't killed anyone with all their mistakes. They should either change staff or close down permanently.

Most unhelpful. Unable to handle a private GP prescription. Inappropriate behavior. Many mistakes, delaying taking the medication.

Terrible! Constant problems with my repeat prescriptions. Almost always excuses about lack of stock (we will have it tomorrow, being a favourite), and being unable to supply the prescribed medication. Hopefully will not need to use them again.
