Just The Croft on site. Young staff , Sophie and Scarlet were superb, attentive without being pushy. Sunday lunch was spot on and we couldn't fault it.

It could have been nice, but unfortunately an overall unpleasant experience. We had this booked for quite some time for us and relatives caravan, but they were turned away due to the fact he had a small pickup, and classed it as a commercial vehicle.
The site had the reg of both vehicles pre arrival but didn?t do any pre checks, or mention it on phone week before arrival.
I understand if it was a van with logo?s etc but not a small pickup. Despite repeated attempts the lady on reception refused to transfer us to the owner to try and resolve this and we would have just move their caravan with our car but she wasn?t helpful.
Plenty of pickups on the site and large vehicles, but that didn?t seem to matter either. Since they wouldn?t let them pitch up, we stayed and they would have visited next day but they wanted extra for that.
So we went the Croft for some over priced coffee and cake? but no cake because they were busy, the place was empty at the time.
The site itself was lovely just wrecked our weekend due to the poor customer service and no support at all from owner.

We have just had a 2 night weekend break in one of the lodges. The lodge was immaculately clean, with everything you could want. There was lots of complimentry items that i thought was a lovely gesture. Including a bottle of prosecco, tea coffee, sugar ect and some lovely little cleansing produce. The site is very clean and quiet and ideal for a quite getaway. We went to have a long rest and to mentally chill, which is exactly what we did. We enjoyed the hot tub which was very relaxing. There was even a dishwasher but I am used to using my hands ?, so we didn't use it. A gusto coffee machine, washing up liquid, surface cleaner, dish cloth, tea towel and toilet rolls were all provided. I always take my own as I am not use to having them provided. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. If i could change anything, I would suggest a larger TV in the lounge and maybe exchange the two seater sofa for a three seater. This is not a negative, but just to enhance the home comforts .

We have just had a great weekend short break holiday on the site, the greeting from the receptionist through to the whole site was amazing, great location, excellent facilities which were spotlessly clean and tidy and the grounds were gorgeous thank you.

It was our first visit to the site and we were blown away with how lovely the site is. We had a lovely welcome from the receptionist who gave us all the info we needed. We could choose our own pitch (10 amp) and all are fully serviced. Great fishing pool onsite £7 per day. Showers were really clean and just the right temperature. We had a lovely bike ride into Shrewsbury town centre along the River Severn which I recommend. Overall a great no hassle stay in a beautiful setting.
We will definitely be returning to the site in the near future, thanks for a great 2 day break ?

Really disappointed with Beaconsfield holiday park. Planned a week cycling and hiking around Shrewsbury and upon arrival was told I couldn't park my privately owned small campervan on site. They were not accommodating at all about the situation and didn't help at all with alternative parking. We will be using sunnyside over the road from now on.
Food and drinks: Restaurant onsite doesn't take bookings at 8:30 when they shut at 10:00pm

Adults only here. Beautiful surroundings. We stayed in a fantastic lodge. Very cosy with everything we needed. Also lovely to walk round, with a big fishing lake (full of massive carp) and duck ponds, complete with ducks??Nice indoor pool and sauna as well, plus The Croft bar.
Although in the countryside, not too far from the village where there's a Premier shop which is reasonably well stocked for daily papers, mags etcetera. Also about 5 miles down the road there's a Park & Ride (free 2 leave car) well serviced (every 20 mins) for Shrewsbury city. It's currently £1.00p each return. It will be £2.00p each return from end March 2025 but still better than trying to park in the city and paying considerably more. Worth using.
Must mention that there's an Aldi before the Park & Ride and a Tesco Extra, (cheap for fuel), a Lidl, Morrisons, The Range, B&Q plus others.
There's some fab buildings in the city. Wished we'd had more time to look round. Must go back again in the future.

My partner and I stayed here recently in our converted minivan. After a 3 hour journey and upon pulling up to the reception cabin, we were met with a look of horror by the receptionist. Instead of being welcomed, we were immediately told that our vehicle wasn't actually a campervan as it didn't have any back windows (!?), so we shouldn't be allowed to stay according to their rules (which had not been prestated anywhere). She said she'd call the owner to check with him as she was aware we'd had a lengthy drive on a Sunday evening. After a phone call to the owner, she allowed us to stay for our booked 3 nights because we "looked like a polite couple" but requested that we parked in the far corner of the site and "kept our of the way". Upon my asking why our vehicle was not deemed acceptable, the receptionist told me that I'd find that a lot of sites would have the same outlook as them. My partner and I have camped all over the country for years in this vehicle and have never encountered a single issue. Absolutely bizarre, and quite horrid to be made to feel so embarrassed and unwelcome upon arrival of a 3 night stay. The stay and site itself was lovely, along with the other guests whom we chatted to and were very friendly. Unfortunately, although we were excited to make use of the pool, we decided not to as we didn?t want to draw any more attention. The same goes for the restaurant/pub. The toilets were warm and comfortable but the showers turned off every 8 seconds - really inconvenient. The reclycling situation is also one of the worst we've ever encountered, which is a huge shame to see in 2024. Added fees and charges are also not clearly stated when booking. We both work in hospitality and customer-facing roles and are respectful and friendly guests, so in short have been left feeling let down and disappointed by this experience. My advice to the owner and staff would be to not be so judgmental, narrow-minded and downright rude.

Great time friendly staff and will to help if required clean

If staying here you really need a car for transport as the site is a very long walk down a track, the site is clean and well maintained and the pitches are of a good size. If you want to go swimming it?s an extra charge. There is an Aldi down the road about a mile so stock up on your way if you have a motorhome and like to leave it on site like we do.

Nice quiet place. High standards and well maintained. Just miffed at charges ; £5 cash deposit required for toilet block key (I don't carry cash), £5 charge for each visitor, £5 to swim, £2 for steam room, £1 booking admin fee???

Just arrived back after staying in one of the new lodges great site and lovely restaurant only problem was the steps and the big gap in decking area down to the hot tub as our dog is blind we had to block it off with chairs etc as he was about to go over the edge on a number of occasions think this needs looking at a gate and finish the fencing off l appreciate you don't get many dogs that are blind something to think about as a health and safety issue other than that a really enjoyable stay ? will definitely be returning in the future
