“Bit of strange experience today in HSBC. My grandad went in to take some money out to pay for a vehicle. Because it was a large amount compared to normal they refused to pay it out concerned someone may be forcing him. I was waiting in the car due to lack of parking near by and it being near closing time. They actually asked for him to get me to come in to verify he wasn't a victim of someone forcing him. The lady waited with him until i come into the bank. Although rather uncomfortable for me and my grandad, this was purely to protect him and his money. I truly felt they went above and beyond to ensure that not only was his finances safe but he was to. If that isn't customer service I Don't know what is!!! ?”

“After a very long a hard shift at rsh today I missed my click and collect slot 7.30pm to 8pm, I had missed calls and didn't know what to do. So I called by the store around 8.30pm and the staff made sure that I got my order. Not only that Beth and mick on customer service thanked me for all my hard work and gave me a lovely bunch of flowers! It was emotionally received by myself as I really did have a horrendous shift. “If the amount of branches for Halifax and Lloyd’s Bank are no longer cost effective that substantial amount will close? Then why doesn’t the board of directors get the idea to provide combined branches whereby Halifax and Lloyd’s Bank customers access one branch (building / outlet)? This would save millions on renting, building charges and business rates etc The other way is to migrate branches to smaller units within shopping centres / invest in Post Office to expand their business to provide a basic service?”
