Good store, plenty of selection for DIY projects, could be better on price. Update: Noticed prices are a little better on some products and there's a better selection of items like nuts and bolt, srews etc

Purchased some reduced hanging baskets today and went to the self serve checkouts. There were about 4 members of staff hanging around a coupe of the service points so we found one the other side to use. They were discussing about arranging a night out or something when I scanned the item and it came up at full price still. I turned to where the gang of staff were leaning against the other checkouts and asked would someone be able help please - then a member of staff bounded over and said in a very rude manner I AM COMING NOW ? I said oh wow ok ok !
She then got in my face ( well nearly as she wasn?t quite as tall as me and I?m only 5?3) and was louding saying in sorry I?m so sorry - oh I?m so so sorry - in a real erratic manner. I said ok ok it?s a heatwave calm sdown it?s ok! But OMG! She was like a women possessed. She finished the transaction then went straight back to the other sales assistant to carry on discussing their arrangements. Rant over. Some customer service training is really needed! If I could have popped the discount through myself I would have done and not disturbed them all hanging around and chilling at the self serve! Had to give 1 star as you can?t give zero!

Very friendly staff and lots of produce to choose from. Prices are very reasonable too, a good place to get those needed items for that DIY project.

Truth is, I find most of the DIY/home stores very similar with staff being down to earth and helpful.

Nice big wide isles which are good for wheelchair users. A good range of items that are easy to find and are clearly priced. The self serve tills are so easy to use. There are often small queues but they go down really quickly.

Typical B&Q really. It?s got 90% of what you need for any DIY product. Staff are helpful but it?s not the cheapest for stuff.
