Very disappointed with the Shrewsbury store today 3rd 08 2025, empty shelves throughout the store item not priced when shelf says item priced, also lack of choice on some items, empty boxes on floor and on shelves, an altogether bad experiences and to top it all had to go to another supermarket to finish our shop so think I'll have to give Asda a miss for a while.

This is how the butter usually arrives on delivery. Please clean your delivery crates.

We use Asda Shrewsbury often for shopping and home deliveries. We decided to get a delivery as we've done in the past.
The day of the delivery was unfortunately a day where it was very stormy, to the point we didn't think the delivery would come. It was actually reported by the news to only travel if necessary!
Needless to say we had a knock on the door and there was our order, all received fine.
Unfortunately the delivery driver (Ian) lost control of his trolley and caused quite a lot of damage to our family car. Ian would not admit to the damage so we are now the proud owners of a very scratched car. Cheers Asda & Ian.
I will never spend another penny in Asda after the shocking customer service and treatment received. Hopefully they go bust sooner rather than later!

Asda Online shopping (George)
Ordered an item to collect, drove the 35 minutes to nearest store and as we walked in the store entrance we received a message to say our order had been cancelled!!
Not very helpful at the collection till, was just told it?s nothing to do with them but George-online and gave us a number to call.
We called, was given a £10 credit and put back through to the store where we was on hold until eventually cut off.
At this point we gave up and drove home.
UPDATE: Re ordered online twice for home delivery as it stated available, and it got cancelled twice!
Ended up purchasing from Argos

Very disappointed in Asda Shrewsbury today. Went for the Valentine meal offer to find there were no starters available which meant the deal was not available to purchase. I asked amember of staff who was v unhelpful and just said well we dont know what's coming in,which I appreciate may be true, but didnt want to listen when I said is there any other option if there are no starters.?
Poor customer service

Does not have an extensive range of products due to the size of the store, but handy for a top-up shop

Do not use the car wash - moreover do not rely on customer services. I visited the store at Old Potts Way, Shrewsbury on 9th Dec '24 for shopping and decided to use the carwash on my way out. In the past, the thing has not been working (with no indication) but the customer services have kindly given back to me the money I put into the slot, with no fuss. Today, Sharon - Customer Services, was belligerent from the off. She said that she had told me it didn't work (I hadn't even been to her about it thus far!!) and she took my name and address. She begrudgingly gave me my money back. Meanwhile, the man on the petrol forecourt said that he would put cones next to the faulty car wash and as he and I had just both seen a man washing his car in the other one, watched as I tried it. This one didn't work either so I returned into the store for a refund only to be greeted by Sharon and spoken to as if I was a criminal! I said there were no cones in front of it and someone had just used the thing but she said that she had told me that neither worked (news to me!). She was rude and made me feel upset and she challenged what I said. She then fetched the manager (having given him her version of events without my being present) and he completely backed her up, interrupting me before I had finished outlining the situation. He was also rude and made me feel like a criminal. I was finally given a gift card for the fee I had paid. I had been planning to use my coins to get my car washed and I returned home with streaks of dirt all over it as I had thought the second one worked. I felt really upset and not like a valued customer and I have vowed not to visit the store again despite having been a regular for many years. {see photo of how my car looked when I drove off).

One of the most dated Asda stores where aspiration came to die. Want a good selection of vegan or vegetarian options, not in Asda Shrewsbury, want a good selection of anything with good eco credentials, laundry or washing, don?t come to Asda Shrewsbury. It?s no wonder Asda profits are falling. Who is their demographic? People that just happen to live near an Asda? Either beat lidl or Waitrose the middle is dead. This place needs a complete rethink or it?s going under and be replaced as with something useful like Aldi. Handy for the basics?

Click and collect staff are rude, orders aren't ready for the time slot paid for. Give you all the worst fresh food so half of it isn't edible anyway. AVOID.

They have a very foolish way of charging for fuel.. Regardless of how much you buy at an amount less than £100, they?ll still take £100 out of your accounts and return the balance after 5days or more.

Really low grade clothing. Unfortunately I cannot find the receipt. Purchased a few items around April time and barely worn, already fraying at seams. Tried to speak to someone who clearly didn't want to work a Sunday or any other day who just hung up. Will just claim back though my bank that's fine. Maybe you need to sort your staff out ones that actually want to help!

George Home Kitty Cutlert plate range not available in store, very frustrating. Only a cars plate is available or £4 for stitch cutlery. I'll look somewhere else.

My partner and I are regular customers at the Asda in Shrewsbury. Unfortunately, during our visit today, we experienced a very poor service. A lady at the self-checkout counters was quite rude and repeated this behavior. She was cleaning the counters, and when we used one that was free, she became visibly frustrated with us. This attitude continued throughout our checkout, and she responded very rudely to our questions about the products.

I really like coming to this store, we've got to know some of the checkout ladies and it's always been a nice experience but lately I've noticed that the shelves are empty when we look for the usual items we buy which is rather disappointing, which means we've then got to go somewhere else which sounds petty but with a newborn in tow it makes it a big task. Other rimes we've been recently staff are putting items out but they block the aisles which makes shopping slow and arduous. When i was jn last time I tried to ask one of your colleagues for help she was too busy stood at the end of the aisle talking, oblivious of me trying to ask for help.
