Friendly welcome from all staff. Very helpful with safely storing a bag for me whilst I had to pop out for a while.
Great range of drinks, and I particularly enjoyed the perfectly served Guinness! Thank you!
The building is a bit of a TARDIS in that there is a huge amount of space in various rooms plus the patio and garden areas, yet the frontage is just a quaint old pub.
Definitely would return if I'm ever in the area again.

The only Dog friendly pub that serves food in Shifnal. Popular with the locals of all ages, traditional pub for watching live sports. Small busy bar but served very quickly, only space for 4 ppl at bar where order food so can't be missed.
Unfortunately, I'm not a football fan & went on the wrong night without realising England was playing, bit noisy for me but can't rate pub down for that, that's what the customers go for!

Dowdy village pub. Booked to eat but having waited at the bar for ten minutes plus whilst the staff served people who arrived after me, decided to give it a miss and went to the Indian restaurant next door. Far better service and top notch food.
Edit: I stand by my previous comments. I WAS standing at the bar for ten minutes being overlooked continuously. Also the table we were allocated was right by the entrance with people passing as they entered and left. We were not offered a table in a better position.

Chilli with a kick,fluffy rice, chips perfect & fresh garni.Well cooked tasty burger, perfect fried & egg.Visited on a Sat at 12.30, didn?t wait long.Staff helpful and accommodating.Plum porter was a joy to drink *****

Great place for a beer

I went here on my one day short visit in Shifnal and I really liked it. It's one of those classic British pubs but at the back with very nice updated garden which I believe any kind of party, functions etc can easily be organised. Prices are reasonable and warm service. I recommend this place.

Great food, didn't go in beer garden. Unfortunately we ended up in a large with 4 tv's playing football as only tables available. Not our cup of tea. Not local for us, just passing through
