Went here when we were staying locally at a relatives for the weekend. A lovely pub with a great menu. Nice sized beer garden with grass which was nice in the sun. I would definitely recommend this place for either a drink in the sun or a bite to eat.

Had a roast dinner with 4 others.
Staff were quite friendly, the food was average .
We had Sunday dinners - between 4 roasts (3 adults 1 child?s ) was a small bowl of greens and about 6 pieces of carrot in .
Roast potatoes were like boulders and the food was barely hot enough when it came out .
Very strange how the kids roasts are practically the same size as the adults - likewise with the cheesecake dessert - kids was exactly the same size as adults yet a fraction of the cost .
Very average experience for a pub with the location and set up to be great.

We went for my mother-in-law's birthday. My wife and her sisters booked it earlier that day, they were told that the only way we could be seated were tables side to side. It turns out they were back to back, but more annoyingly, there were other suitable unused tables. I even asked if we could rotate the two tables we had to join them, as there was loads of space, but was told no and I just feel it could have been handled much better.
It's a real shame as the food was great, but we went for a meal together and it felt that was more than possible, the lead waitress just didn't want to help or allow us to do this.
Furthermore, a £30 tip was added to the bill, which would be fine ordinarilly, but seeing as we didn't really get what we asked for, it seemed a little steep and the girls are too nice to ask them to remove it. I just hope the kitchen staff see the most of that tip!

I had small roast dinner which was ample. Food was cooked well and tasty and mixed veg was ok. Recommend sticky toffee pudding ?

Fantastic meal today with family at the Fox & Hounds. Despite it being fairly busy, food was delivered to table quickly , staff were friendly and helpful.
One of our favourite places to eat!

Sticky salmon starter, chicken / tagliatelle main. Wife had mushrooms / toast starter and sticky sweet chilli beef main. It was that tasty, hot, tender, enjoyable and so nice that I?m telling no one !!! Easy parking plenty of tables. 10/10.

Came for a birthday meal for my mother in law and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly; they let us set up on another table when ours wasn?t ready yet as we were early, stored the birthday cake for us and got it ready with candles and brought it out for us when we asked. The food was lovely and service very prompt, very appreciative for helping make it a lovely meal.

We?ve popped in here a couple of times and sat outside for a drink, which has been lovely. However, when I enquired about ordering food today (wasn?t expecting there to be any tables at all being Father?s Day but I was simply just enquiring) the member of staff behind the bar seemed quite abrupt and rude. Can?t say it made us feel very welcome so probably won?t come back.

Food was good, but found that some staff weren?t very friendly sadly, a simple smile and friendly manner goes a long way!
Felt like a bit of an inconvenience to them really.
A shame as it?s local to us and we were going to start visiting more but doubt we will now.
