Good pub. Nice staff. Lovely setting.
I only had chips and a beer but both were good.

Fantastic pub, came for a evening meal with the family at 5:45 and it did not disappoint. Beautiful food and good range of kids meals especially since we are veggie, atmosphere was superb, beautiful views and even had a play area for the kids! Only downside is it cost us £87 and we weren't even drinking.
We had a lovely time though so if you can afford it, it's well worth it!

Booked spontaneously here as we fancied a Sunday roast. On arrival we thought what a lovely pub and decided to ask if we could sit in the beer garden which was no problem, ordered our drinks and food and sat waiting.
We could hear the table near us having quite a loud conversation and lots of swearing and foul language and then we overheard that some where staff, they were also going in and out of the staff doors where our food was coming from.
The starters were okay but nothing exciting and not much flavour. The Sunday roasts were awful, my partner had the beef and it was overcooked and chewy and I had the turkey which was chewy and not very flavoursome. The meal was soaked in salty gravy which was leaving a bad taste in both of our mouths, the potatoes were hard and difficult to eat. I left most of mine and my partner left quite a bit of food too. No one came over to ask if our mains were alright otherwise we would have addressed this issue with the staff.
We will unfortunately not be returning.

Been coming here for years with an elderly relative, toddler and dog. dog friendly and usually good with playground outside . However really disappointed today. The Yorkshire puddings were frozen on arrival in the middle. Asked for them to be changed only for the replacements to again be frozen in the middle! Very little response when mentioned this to the staff. The waffle was rock solid for dessert massively overcooked. £110 for a meal which isn?t great is quite a bit of money especially with £30 for a sirloin. Some nice places around so might try elsewhere next time.

A very dissapointing visit.
I bought my mother in law for a (I thought) nice meal in the Bull & dog as I had before but we had the most horrid meals.
The pie my Mum in law had was too salty for her to eat & the fish I had was definitely not cod, as it said on the menu....it looked more like fish finger filling, all mushed up.
I complained..but with little response.
I won't be eating there again...sorry.
