Lovely tasty Sunday lunch, you can?t go hungry with the amount of food you are presented with. Lovely friendly staff , real traditional pub with that little bit extra in the countryside

A lovely welcome from the lady behind the bar of this great pub. We also enjoyed chatting with other punters, as soon as we walked in the door, (who told us about events going on in the area). The real ale was well kept and the battered fish with chips didn?t disappoint (the homemade mushy peas were the highlight though - stunning - see photo). We sat in the extensive beer garden at the back of the pub ? We wouldn?t hesitate to recommend the Red Lion for good food, tasty beer and friendly staff. Thank you - I think we?ll be back?.

Stopped there last night after driving around looking for something to eat .
The lady behind the bar was very helpful and friendly.
We ordered expecting basic pub food , what a surprise it was fresh well cocked and tasted so good .
Don't often leave feed back but needed to say big thanks to the staff and chef . Great place .

A wonderful pork and beef main, great quality and big portions. Really impressed, as wasn't expecting it to be that good. Maybe just needs a bit of light background music as it was very quiet.

A fabulous pub with an amazing team in Sam, Becky and Nicky. The beer was kept perfectly and the food was fantastic. We couldn't have been made more welcome by the team and the whole village 'family'. It is the heart and soul of a vibrant village and the experience is very highly recommended!

This is a truly lovely place with a nice atmosphere. I asked them to host a wake, and the owners were incredible- unbelievably helpful, from adapting the menu to providing a television, right down to returning lost property. Food was brilliant too, and the prices good. Can?t recommend enough.

This is a hidden gem of a plain, country pub. The staff and guests are friendly and welcoming. The beer, from Wye Valley Brewery, is perfectly kept and served. There is plenty of seating and often the wood-burning stove is pumping-out heat from a large fireplace at the one end of the main bar. Toilets were spotless and well maintained. There is no food served on Mondays but the menu features locally sourced meats and veg.
This is not a fancy gastro-pub but a well run, inexpensive, comfortable country pub that is well worth finding down the narrow country lanes.
Parking: a huge open space in front of the pub.
