Lovely tasty Sunday lunch, you can’t go hungry with the amount of food you are presented with. Lovely friendly staff , real traditional pub with that little bit extra in the countryside

A lovely welcome from the lady behind the bar of this great pub. We also enjoyed chatting with other punters, as soon as we walked in the door, (who told us about events going on in the area). Very quiet on our visit. A nice welcome. Nice beers on tap and a good bar menu. Food very tasty . Plenty of car parking.
The Red Lion is a nineteenth century coaching inn situated in the heart of the Shropshire hills. We are in a small hamlet called Longden Common, which is 5 miles South of Shrewsbury.
No dogs allowed in the pub or rear beer garden. There is a small garden at the top by the car park for dogs!
