National CAMRA Pub of the Year. Cracking boozer. Would have given it 5 stars but it lost a mark due to a staff hygiene issue - two members of staff petted dogs and did not wash their hands afterwards, even though the dogs licked their hands! Something management may like to address perhaps? Otherwise great?

Lovely pub and excellent beer. However there is a contentious issue. I noticed that two of the bar staff did not wash their hands after petting a couple of the dogs. One dog was actually licking the hands of a staff member and they continued to serve customers and collect glasses without washing their hands .This is poor... read full comment
