Today, I went to the Oswestry branch of sports direct and purchased a pair of socks that had been placed in a reduced box because one of the pairs was dirty. The pair of socks was non refundable so I felt no need to take my receipt. When I left the store I realised that the security tag had been left on, which is not an issue to me, I understand these things happen and I am not complaining about this. However, when I came back to the store, less than 20 minutes after the original purchase, I was (not) greeted by an incredibly rude female member of staff who seemed to do her best to be anything but helpful. I asked her if I could simply get the tag removed and she instantly got the hump and refused to do so as I did not have the receipt. I understand policy, but the way in which she spoke to me was nothing short of appalling customer service. I then suggested that I was to find the member of staff who originally dealt with the transaction to verify that I hadn?t shoplifted which is what I felt she insinuated. This female member of staff made no effort to help me and watched as I wandered around the shop looking for this gentleman. I discussed with this woman how this was not my fault that the security tag had been left on and she said that she can?t help, and shrugged her shoulders and gave no alternative to my situation. Her attitude was horrendous and probably the worst example of customer service I?ve experienced.
On the contrary, the gentleman who originally served me was very pleasant, apologetic and solved the issue. This however, has not changed my opinion on the fact that Oswestry sports direct will not be a place I shop again, and I am going to send my complaint further to head office.

Nice staff. Rubbish place, products, literally everything else, bought a pair of shoes for work and they haven't even lasted a month, falling to pieces already and they were like £60-90, shall definitely be going elsewhere in future

Went into Oswestry store today (wednesday market day) 2 staff on . One chatting to a freind of hers the othere up stairs. People waiting by the tills put stuff back and walked out. I went and asked for trainers and she was rude, she got the trainers but not in the size i asked for. My husband tried them on not realizing the size, when i askedfor the right size she just stared at me then went and got them. Went to pay for them and no one at the till. When i asked could i pay i was told only 2 on would have to wait. Wont be going to oswestry store again again

A good sized Sports Direct shop here in Oswestry. Always has special offers on and the staff are friendly and welcoming.

Know your consumer rights! They will try to force you to accept a credit note instead of a full refund back on your card if you have the receipt and take it back within 28 days. By law, they HAVE TO give you a refund if you request one if you have the receipt, take it back within 28 days and it's as you bought it. I can't be bothered with arguing with ignorant shop staff that don't know the law.

Not very welcoming, walked in and walked straight back out again, One staff member had a bad attitude, think she was in charge maybe.. . But would not go back. So you have lost out on a sketchers sale.
