All Saints Church in Gobowen was built in 1926 and opened 1928 as a daughter church of St Barnabus is Hengoed. In 1981, the church in Hengoed closed and the parishes were combined.In 1979, the church was devastated by a fire. It reopened in 1981 with new ceiling timbers, stained glass and white walls.
