Rubbish. By his own admittance he didn't know anything about cars! And five day wait to even look at it. Needless to say I left .

Booked my car in for a free clutch check after identifying a potential problem. When looking online there were numerous slots available to book so I opted for 8:30am so I could get to work for 10am.When I arrived I handed key over and was told I would get a call when checked over. Went for a quick walk to get something from a supermarket and went and sat in the waiting room. The front desk guys seemed surprised I was sat waiting and said that my car wasn't due to be looked at until 4pm...I questioned the booking time and why I had opted for 8:30am to be told that "it was just a drop off time". If that was the case then why are there multiple slots available? 8:30, 10 and midday were all available when I booked.Awful booking system and awful way of doing things considering half of the ramps and bays were empty when I left.Avoid.

Went in to do a repair check as I was having a creeking noise coming from the front right wheel. Said two top suspension bearings and right wishbone needed to be replaced yet they were brand new. They said the right wishbone was knackered was moving a lot. Well I checked myself and all that was wrong with it was a loose bolt on the wishbone. 15 minute job by myself tighten it up and all good. Yet halfords wanted to replace all the parts worth £700. Basically trying to scam me. All that was needed was to retighten a bolt. Proves the point on never to trust garages!

Had the breaks and pads done on the car , 10 weeks later they were grinding worn out, it was so dangerous I had have them fixed nearest garage . When I took them back to garage they decided because their was no evidence that they were at fault even though they agreed 10weeks for breaks to be worn out was unusual , they Did not accept they were liable . I'm not sure whether they changed them . Its unfortunate that garages are not made to do a before after video so you can see the work has been carried out like main dealer garages, .I certainly would not recommend them .Service: Brakes

The worst experience I?ve ever had. I went in for a tyre and a check up for a knocking sound that my car was making 2 weeks ago. On my first appointment they?ve changed the tyres and told me that I have to change the bearing wheel. On my second appointment they?ve changed bearing wheel but the car was still making that sound and worst part is that the car is now making a new sound. We went back the same day just to get another appointment for the next day. After the 3rd appointment the car was still making those noises even worse, all they did is to offer me a 4th appointment to do a full diagnosis after 2 weeks of going back and forth. We went to another place to fix the car and guess what they fix it in 5 minutes. The problem was that the disc protection plate was touching the brake disc( this problem appeared after they changed the bearing wheel).P.S. After changing the tyres on my 1st appointment they managed to do a proper wheel alignment only after the 3rd appointment. Never go back again ?Services: Tires

I took my car in for a suspension check on the 13/06/2020. Halfords failed to notify Highview parking of my attendance so a PCN was issued but unfortunately I had forgotten to register the car to my new home address following a recent house move, so didn't receive any letters and was unable to appeal the PCN because of this. Now years later I have the threat of bailiffs and a CCJ which could damage my credit score and jepodise my current mortgage application. Halfords, my booking reference was A425B015069. I have email confirmation of this booking.

Failed not due to headlights, fair enough. No call to notify. No offer to fix. They also broke my screw on license plate which is an mot fail in itself!

Got a phone call as my car Failed it?s MOT because the passenger door wouldn?t open. Furthermore they would have to ?break the door board? to fix the issue which would incur a cost. Everything else passed. I have no problem with my car failing a safety inspection after all its for my own protection. However I have never witnessed this fault before. So I drove back to the garage and tried the door. It opened. I told the manager who responded with a terse ?it failed at the point of inspection pal?. Again, no problem with that. So I asked if they could retest it as it seems to be working. ?Can?t do that pal as we are prepping it for the service (booked MOT and Service). I told him I?d make that a little easier and cancelled the service. I asked again when it would be retested as I?d like to be here to observe the faulty door first hand. The manager didn?t look up from his computer and said ?if I have someone spare I?ll get them to have a look but I?m not giving you a time pal?. I asked if I could challenge the MOT and he said ?yes, look it up online. No one?s ever done it so I don?t know much about it?. I asked for the number of customer services. A short phone call later to explain my frustrations and one of the technicians went to my car, tested the handles locked, tested them unlocked and said ?yep? I?ll issue you your MOT now sir?. Why it took a phone call to customer services to get them to perform basic customer service in store is beyond me. They?ve lost the sale of a service and the lifetime value of a customer all because of one managers utter disregard for simple customer service.

Paid for MOT, failed (no problem I understand cars fail) was then quoted £311 to remove a locking whee nut, replace a lower control arm ball joint and align a headlight!!!!I was even informed by the guy on the desk the total work will take less than an hour to complete. For everyone?s reference this is on a 2008 Mazda 2 not a brand new, expensive car.Booked in with a local, reputable garage for another MOT and complete all work.Less than £150 all in!How do you get away with it?!I appreciate things don?t come for free especially not these days but the inflated prices just because it is an MOT failure and them/ you knowing fine well people will pay so they can drive their car is a joke!As a bonus one of the guys in the workshop itself looked at me like I?d just punched his kid when I asked where was best to give in my key when I first arrived. For reference this is the only bad review I?ve ever given any business, ever.Absolute joke.Service: Vehicle safety inspection
