We came for our anniversary as was recommended. We had pate to start . Was lovely, strange addition of Mustard dressing though. Not ever seen that with pate , I didn't mind but hubby didn't like
Mains were disappointing, I had cottage pie , my husband had sausage . Sausage was very nice , good quality , but however the veg were cold . Cottage pie although tasty was nearly all Gravy , and again the veg were cold . We did tell the server when we were asked about our meal , and we were offered a small discount on our wine . We didn't want that as that's wasn't the reason we complained.
We both had puddings , Husband wasn't keen on his chocolate brownie, said it was a bit dry . I had the sticky, award winning toffee pudding , pudding itself was Luke warm , toffee sauce was lovely , but unfortunately again my custard was barely warm . Such a shame as overall the food was really good value . Can't fault the service we had . The 2 young male servers were very friendly and extremely pleasant.

Pre ordered before meal due to birthday booking, but the orders still came out wrong and several people had to wait on their food whilst others had finished!!

Just want to say how impressed we were with Alex friday 15th August he was working so hard to keep everyone happy on his own working the bar serving tables and anything else thar was needed shame all staff haven't got the same commitment and work ethics the buzzer on the table is a really good idea haven't seen that anywhere else!

We booked for a Sunday roast and were not disappointed. It was really delicious, hot, and nicely presented.
Staff were friendly and helpful, so we happily recommend to others.

First visit. Very quiet for lunch. Had small bite meals which were very small. When I go again will have meals from main meals
