Well appointed high street premises with immediate pavement access to well laid out, light & airey ground-floor reception, service & display areas. Varying degrees of 'good & bad experience' with customer care & service. Latest up-to-date eye care solutions offered by qualified practitioners. Not a huge range of spectacle frames. Be wary of displays offering 'sale' spectacle frames.
Had a recent 'very' negative experience with purchasing a frame as a sale item.
Within a few hours of wear the right arm of the frame became loose & floppy. The store was finally ok to replace my 'sale' frame with a brand new replacement. But NOT before having to go through the distress/complaint/worry whether or not my 'sale frame' would carry any sort of warranty.
Supervisor as good as told me the 'sale frames' are sold as seen! So if your frames have a fault you can't see when you buy them - they may have been dropped/misused/whatever - & you somehow find out later, you won't be eligible for redress!
Completely astounded by this. NO indication on the display where the 'sale frames' appear alongside all other frames in the store, this was the case. I assumed - obviously wrongly - the sale frames were being marketed as discontinued stock. According to supervisor who dealt with my complaint, I should have been notified the set of 'sale frames' I was purchasing was substandard by the assistant who sold the frames to me in the first place!!!
And my next question of course would be??? Why would anyone want to purchase a product designed for eyewear purposes that would be substandard or fail to be 'fit for purpose?' Not a good experience at all. And very very stressful for any vulnerable customers let alone those who were/are able to cope with navigating a complaint.

I can't recommend Specsavers in Ludlow highly enough. In a world where too often no one calls you back, or you have to wait for your appointment, or staff are rushed/ill trained, Specsavers is an oasis of excellence! Everyone is professional, friendly & brilliantly trained. All information is passed on very comprehensively. Prices are very reasonable, & you are never 'pushed' into an unncessary purchase. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I've used private opticians in the past, but far prefer the service I receive at Specsavers. It's easy to make appointments, the staff are friendly and professional, and they make sure you are given the time and attention to make the most informed choices about products and treatments.
