2 Items missing from order in excess of £70, rang up was told would be replaced next time. Rang up ordered turned up to collect and no food prepared, was told to come collect in 10 mins. Paid for that wrre items not received. Went back on promise to replace. Wasted journey. Staff unhelpful. AVOID unless you are prepared to be ripped off and lied to.

Ordered online for delivery at 7pm. Arrived at 7pm a party of 9 people. Everyone was very happy and food delicious. Driver who delivered very pleasant. Well done! Thank you

Used to love this place but gone down hill. Chicken is tiny little crusty pieces that are so dry and probably cooked yesterday. Salt and pepper chips have no flavour and are soggy. Not worth the money anymore. No seasoning on salt and pepper dishes like there used to be. Couldn?t even finish it as not worth the calories! Wouldn?t recommend at all.

Ordered sweet n sour chicken balls and they sent pork instead and upon calling them back instead of replacing it they made me re order it when it was an error on their end not mine would not recommend go else where for better service

Well food is not bad, but you can't pay by card, so they force you to use cash, I'm using them long years , I never get receipt of purchase from them, also I was using few times phone to make order, they said certain time to collect food, and food wasn't ready, I was waiting inside 35 minutes for my order, and this time we gad guess at home so that wasn't best experience , will not recommended to go there without cash, and no phone orders

Had a Chinese delivered for me and my partner.Never had one before and wish we had never bothered.Spoke with a lady on the phone and could hardly hear as the noise in the background was terrible.When the food was finally delivered its was cold in which it made the food taste awful!!! £17 wasted and I will never use them again!!!

If I could leave zero stars I would.....Absolutely disgusting service and told it would be 15 minsOver 2hrs later and still no food 15 mins down the road.Food was awful and cold

I have been coming to Shanghai Star for over 10tears I always receive very good service over the phone when placing my orders. They give you a time to collect and it?s usually ready within that time.The food is freshly cooked at time of order and On collection of my takeaway, it is ready within minutes of arriving. Fresh hot and delicious always.

The experience was mediocre; although the overall price were lower than other Chinese takeouts, the inconvenience of cash-only payments posed a challenge. Unfortunately, the menu displayed both on the wall and at the counter was obscured by tape, making it difficult to ascertain the cost per dish. Additionally, the nearby cash point charges fees for withdrawals. Moreover, the slippery floor on the night of my visit was a safety hazard.
