Unbelievably good pub and restaurant. Disclaimer- i live nearby. I had takeaway fish and chips tonight and I can honestly say, best I have ever had. Less than a tenner which is cheaper than local chip ship (7 miles away). Genuinely amazing town and genuinely amazing pub and restaurant. Found the place I'd be happy to die in!

Whenever I return to Shropshire I always visit this wonderful brew-pub. Very friendly and nice & cozy.
The Sunday Nutroast is one of the best I have had and the Citadel Pale Ale is a truly fantastic pale ale.
I enjoyed my visit so much I went 4 times during my week long trip which included more Citadel and a very tasty vegetarian chilli and a delicious cheesecake
I cannot recommend enough for those who enjoy old fashioned country pubs

This is a beautiful part of the country, and this little pub does it proud. It's well-managed and the rooms are excellent. The pub has a good selection of beers and food.

Came here with my daughter and son inalw for a meal great service good price and very friendly staff. The meal was lovely highly recommended

Lovely pub, I had a couple of pints, great service.
Then went to leave & my e bike developed a flat, (occurred before got to the pub).
A special shout out to the bar staff, who bar forwarded me to a local cab company, which picked me up in 10 minutes, to take me back to the campsite 15 miles away.

Great food in a proper pub. I recommend the steak and mushroom pie, which comes with fabulous chips. Book a table as it's rightly popular.

Really friendly staff. Room clean and a decent size with large bathroom. Real ale and food lovely and very good value for money. Stayed with our dog and felt really comfortable. Room Very quiet even with the pub busy which was unexpected. Always a good sign when a pub is busy and no rooms free. Found everyone in the pub chatty with some friendly locals. Nice to be provided with dog bowls, towel and a fork for the dog food.

Dined here as a pit stop on our way home, the pub had a wonderful atmosphere & decoration. The staff were lovely and attentive and the food was delicious and served quickly! Highly recommend!
