We visited only for a drink and we fortunate with weather and timing to be able to sit outside in the sun. Gorgeous location, the restaurant menu looked great and I suspect the rooms are too.

A very fine Sunday pub roast lunch, good but not excessive choice, all well prepared and with excellent friendly service for a large party including young children.

Great country inn. Had a few meals here as we stayed in the village. Busy but nice. Welcome both children and dogs. Food was nice (steak was superb, pizza was ok).

Star quality food and great service. These guys and gals work really hard to deliver and their food and flavours are fantastic. Tranquil setting with the river. Pizzas are amazing too! Great to see a buzzing pub like this in old England!

We used to love this place, however it's now very expensive and the staff (we encountered) we're just short of being frankly rude. £12 for 2 x soft drinks and a bowl of chips that hadn't arrived after 30 minutes. We left without having them and won't be rushing back. The second star is for the location as its a beautiful spot.

Was recommended by our holiday let owners. Went on the first night of arrival and thought it was excellent. Booked that evening for the Steak night offer. Sadly when we arrived for our second visit we did not receive the same warm welcome from a different member of staff. She could not find our booking implying we're had not booked. Was told we could be seated upstairs which was an almost empty room. Waiting almost an hour before food arrived,this was after highlighting to the waiter that the table after us had there food served before us! When food arrived the steak was luke warm ,but was exchanged. Our second drink order was also forgotten. We ended up being the only 2 people in the room and felt totally forgotten about. We were given free dessert as an apology but to be honest this fell short of making up for a much looked forward to evening out on on holiday. So disappointed following a 5 star previous visit.

Stumbled across this place on a drive to Shropshire. Gorgeous setting with beer garden overlooking the river. Facilities were spotless and staff were lovely! We had a pizza from the pizza oven outside which was delicious (lots of lovely options on the menu including veggie with goats cheese, asparagus, or pancetta, rocket and alioli). The two farmers cider on draught was also amazing (will need to find some to order!). Would highly recommend ?
