Food at the sun at last! And amazing it was. We went on a Friday night, they were serving game casserole and it was delicious, big portions and at very reasonable price, we returned the next night for loaded chili wedges, and loaded chilli dogs. So tasty and again very reasonable. Great atmosphere and fantastic beer and service. We met the catering team after we ate and you could tell the passion they had for locally sourced food. Long may it continue. I hear they are starting Sunday lunches next year with a twist. Recommend this wonderful pub highly.

Friendly staff and locals. Great variety of ales and other drinks. Nice crisps, too. Multiple rooms, some with low ceilings and stone or flag floors give this gem of a pub an authentic ale house feel. Thoroughly recommend. My kind of place.Food & drinks: I downed several pints of HPA (Hereford Pale Ale) in this pub and each was as easy to drink as the previous one. Not too strong, at 4.0%, deliciously subtly flavoured with a gorgeous barley straw yellow colour, this cracking beer is dangerously easy to quaff plenty of. Have fun with it.

Thank goodness the Sun Folk sessions are back and the pub is in safe hands again! The monthly fun filled sessions here certainly raise my spirits. There?s always a great welcome and a great selection of real ale and some nice wines. It feels like the latest landlord really know how to make a pub a success. We must eat there soon and add that to our experience at this lovely traditional pub.

We went on a Sunday, when the main menu is focussed on roasts, but with other options still available. The roasts were excellent value at £9.50. The beer is brewed on site and was very good. The staff are very welcoming. The decor is classic pub and the internal spaces are somewhat cramped in a building this old. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

A true gem, with lovely people, customers and management. A pub that should be cherished at a time when such lovely, unspoilt meeting places are disappearing fast. Thanks for a great welcome . . and see you again ! ?? W&M, Carmarthenshire couple.
