Willow Batch is a ground-floor apartment set in the National Trust park at Carding Mill valley, underneath the Long Mynd.Don, the owner, was extremely helpful, friendly and approachable. He answered our booking enquiry really quickly; arrangements couldn't have been easier. And he helped us tuck a bike out of the way during our stay! The apartment itself is very comfortable, clean and welcoming. Well furnished and kitted out with everything you might need.Huge double bed in the bright and airy bedroom. Luxurious, soft bed linen.Big TV screen and wide range of Sky channels and plenty of DVDs to watch.Lots of games, guidebooks and novels to enjoy.Kitchen very well appointed with good selection of cookware, coffee jugs, etc. Lovely to have some milk and tea on arrival! Fridge is quite small, but ample for a few days.Shower room was as spotlessly clean as the rest of the apartment. Plenty of hot water, and great central heating which was easy to control for chilly nights and hot days. The only downside is the lack of a bath, which would have been wonderful after walking / swimming (which is what we did all day!)The location is superb, if you like the outdoors and don't mind a bit of a stroll into town. It's a 20 minute walk to Church Stretton, cafes, supermarket and restaurant and the train station. Recommend the Jaipur Lounge is you like Indian food!Walk in the other direction, and you're immediately in the Shropshire hills. It's a 20 minute yomp upwards to get to the old reservoir, or spend the whole day on the Mynd. Simply gorgeous, although you need wet weather gear because it can be cold and damp as soon as you start climbing. (The drying room, next to the bathroom, is brilliant. Ideal for soggy socks and walking clothes).Look out for the wildlife - masses of birds and squirrels come to the feeders, and there are of course sheep all over the place, buzzards in the sky, rabbits in the greenery, etc.We absolutely loved our three-day stay, and will be back again!

Fantastic place to stay, the accomadation provided everything we needed, and the location is superb, Don was on hand and very helpful if we needed to ask anything, but left us to enjoy our break without intrusion. We have recommended Willowbatch to family and friends and look forward to visiting again.
