Probably one of the worst steaks I have ever eaten. This pub was recommended to us so we were excited to try. The staff were polite and helpful however when I ordered my starter they informed us that we were looking at the old menus (The menus provided to us by the waitress) and that wasn?t an option any longer. That was fine I ordered something else.
I then ordered the 7oz fillet and the only way I can describe it is- an unseasoned, undercooked, tasteless lump of beef. I?ve eaten many steaks in my time and this is up there with the worst. The chips tastes frozen and the whole meal just tastes cheap and nasty like something you would order in a Hungry Horse. I definitely will not be returning.
The reviews saying it?s the best in the area aren?t mentioning that there is nothing in the area so incomparable!

Once again a lovely meal, the beef was mouth watering, a massive thank you to the waitress who helped me with serving and carrying my meal from the carvery ( due to my health issues) we got home and booked a table for their build your own burger evening this coming Thursday.
Also due to unforseen circumstances we were over a hour early for our table but that wasn't a problem for them, waited 5 minutes to be seated, brilliant.

Delicious food available and a great location. There were 2 very tasty vegan options with vegan ice cream also available.

A group of us called in for lunch on the way to Ludlow comedy Festival, 5 carveries and 5 puddings, meat was excellent, as were the vegetables, puddings were all great as well, the setting is spacious and well set out.
Our only very very small moan was that there seemed a shortage of spoons, our table and the one next to us had to ask for some. But we will definitely head back for some more of that beautiful meat. Well done all ?

Just had a fabulous dinner at The Station. Thursday night Burger night is a fabulous experience. Being able to create your own burger is such a great idea.
Highly recommend along with the butchers night on Fridays nights. The staff are always friendly and always make u feel welcomed.
A place not to be missed when visiting Shropshire Hills.

A really lovely place, first impressions of the exterior were great, looked like a very inviting and warm place.
Greeted on arrival and we were shown to our table (we?d made a booking).
We went through to the first area of the dining room which had lovely decor, roof windows, big glass front, traditional beams and the butchers counter.
Food came promptly, we ordered a fish and chips for the two kids to share (the portion was massive and plenty enough that neither of them finished their half), the pork chop and the 12oz rib eye added on 5 king prawns in garlic butter that were amazing and a side of onion rings. The food was cooked wonderfully, and had a lovely char grilled texture and flavour on both the steak and pork.
We decided to have desert even though we were all full, the kids had 3 scoops of ice-cream each, the wife ordered the crème brûlée which she said was excellent and I had the sticky toffee pudding with custard, I don?t know where they got it from, bought or home made but I swear that was the best STP I have ever eaten in my life.
I would absolutely recommend the Station Inn for food or just a drink, when I?m in the area again I will 100% be going back.

Lovely quaint place tucked away, full of oak and modern features it certainly looks the part. The butcher servery and choosing your steak is a great niche concept that works well and the steaks were absolutely divine, with only 1 out of the 6 being slightly over cooked. The adult female member of staff behind the bar was brilliant and we enjoyed her conversation.
However there were a couple of disappointing things that stood out, the focus is very heavy on the steak side of the dining experience this does leave the 'normal meals' although high with expectation severely underwhelming the sweet potato curry was served with microwave rice which was all stuck together and could be picked up in one. Not good considering the cost. The second thing is the professionalism of the waitress staff we had a couple of issues, Glass of tap water was requested and never received. There was a very long delay between receiving the dessert menu and someone coming and asking if we wanted anything (we ended up calling someone over) and finally when re-silvering for the puddings the fresh cutlery was sort of slumped on the table and not nicely on the folded napkin which was right there. Subtle things make a big difference when trying to achieve full remarks which the price point certainly reflects.
Hopefully this feedback will be taken well and after upon. We look forward to coming back!

Went for Butchers Night and had the most delicious steak (prime sirloin). Melted in the mouth. Amazing experience to choose your own cut, size and cooking time. Highly recommended!
