We popped in for a pint and a snack yesterday lunch time and sat in the beer garden. Very friendly staff and enjoyable bar snack. I would recommend to anyone.

Just walked in Carding Mill valley - came here for the first time - outstanding place to eat, great value and very good food - would highly recommend the place - would come more often if we lived closer .

After a long walk in the Long Mynd on a hot day, my wife and I really enjoyed a fresh drink in their beer garden. We then had a lovely diner. Nice weather surely did help but good food, nice size portions and friendly staff are good assets for this nice pub

Do not recommend eating here.
On arrival , at 6.30 pm six main meals off the menu were already not available .
Service was poor with a total lack of attention . Had a long wait for our order to be taken even though we had an early evening booking.
We had to ask for a top up on drinks .
We were not asked if we wanted a dessert or offered a dessert menu to peruse.
The crispy pork belly was so completely overcooked that the meat was burnt , black and inedible. On informing the waitress we waited a good 30minutes before someone appeared for us to be told that as we had ordered crispy pork belly then we need to expect it to be crispy. They then proceeded to argue about the meal . Their only offering was to take off the cost of 1 drink of cider from the total bill!
We left at this point and will never return!

First time at this pub and it was a lovely experience. Staff were very helpful and meals served quickly. Portions are quite generous but I was given the options to make the meal smaller. Didn?t go outside but the outdoor area looked great.

Lovely pub, welcoming and very spacious. Lunch time visit - We sat in the garden and listened to some amateur live music, which was a nice touch. Food was faultless, offering decent value for money. Picnic benches could do with a scrub / stain.

Didn't have food so can't comment but the pedigree was awesome and well kept especially in this warm weather. The staff are fantastic as well. Will 100% be back to the pub where my dog nicked my pint

Excellent meal today for my father?s birthday. The Sunday roast was excellent, meat cooked perfect and great selection of veg. Loved the ample extra gravy at no extra cost. Staff attentive and couldn?t do enough for you. Brilliant lunch!
