Dismissive. Rude. Unprofessional. It is unfortunate this is the only GP in Church Stretton. Complaints have been ignored but will be escalated to NHS England and, if necessary, the PHSO.

I would like to commend and thank the receptionists at the Practice, along with the nurses, for their help and kindnesses over the years.Sometimes maligned for brusqueness, I have found them to be caring and sympathetic, professional and helpful. Thank you again!

Having been bought up in Church Stretton and recently moved, my experience of the practice is really based on the care my Father received. Of an age and with several underlying health conditions that need managing, I can't say the practice were great in my experience. From ringing the reception who can tend to be fairly officious dependent on who you get, to having to fight for an appointment, to the rushed manner of the GPs (never the same one for consistency and seemingly never having thoroughly reviewed notes), as a patient you feel more of a burden to the practice. Whilst we are all aware of the stresses Covid placed on the system, even now it's hard to get an appointment (face to face, forget it without a month's wait!) and you have to justify your reason for doing so. It does feel as though the GP practice has a captive market with no alternatives and clearly an aging demographic to serve, but equally manners and courtesy are free - patients can't help having needs which need managing. Follow ups or call backs rarely happened when they were supposed to and the onus was always on the patient to follow up any results or referral appts yourselves. We got so used to receiving this treatment, we thought it was normal. The district nurses are similar in the manner and off handish approach over the phone. All I can say is that having moved to another PCT the difference is shocking! And for the better - Doctors see you, ring back when they day they will, district nurses are more than happy to come out (as well as offering additional services we were never told about in Shropshire) and my Father is now on a proper care plan with follow ups booked in to manage his conditions. Really feel CS needs to have a look at itself as I know we weren't the only patients to feel like this! I've given 2 stars as, when push comes to shove (which means really pushing and not taking no for an answer) they will give you some form of appointment, but really that's a reactive measure usually rather than trying to manage long term conditions. At the end of the day the NHS is a service and we are consumers - there has to be some intrinsic belief in this which seems lacking at this practice.

Very understanding, helpful and precise practice, can get a little busy, but all doctors there are highly professional and really car for your needs as a patient

After a fraught bank holiday weekend with a poorly husband, I phoned the practice as soon as they were open and was helped by Rose(receptionist) and then Dr. Boog-Scott. Outcome is a husband who was treated with respect and consideration and hopefully is on the mend. Thank you. Jean

The most rude and unhelpful staff you will ever meet.

Three children and a type one diabetic myself. Can't fault this surgery. Will always help - we see any Dr because they are all lovely.
