Horrid, worst fish and chips in decades. That stuff around the fish that was supposed to be batter, I'm sure was actually leather, it was really that bad and the chips tasted like they'd been warmed up at least twenty times. Absolutely horrible.

The kebab was just microwaved chicken out of the freezer that was still cold inside and went straight in the bin, soggy fish and batter that can?t have been fresh, overall really disappointing. You?re better off driving a bit further to go elsewhere

AVOID?
Every time we go, you get tiny portions of chips and poor customer service. Unfortunately for Church Stretton they have a captive audience as they are the only Fish n chip shop in the area.
If you can, drive further afield up to Bayston Hill chippy. Much better quality food there and larger portions for a fraction of the price. We always go to Bayston Hill chippy now.

It's bad. We visited here on route to the top of the hill. It was so bad we turned around to take it back for a refund. Kebab was chunks of cold soggy meat. Fish was old and batter was crackly hard. Chips were actually good quality just not many of them.
2 specials cost us 15 quid but was worth no more than 50p.
Avoid.

Can't comment on food as didn't get the chance to order food.
Walked in to 1 customer waiting and young lad and female behind counter. Didn't speak. Waited and nothing. Customer waiting collected food and walked out. Male staff said Yes. I then said I think it's very rude for customers to walk in and not be greeted or even an hello. Male response was ow well. I said if that ya attitude i will go else where. His response was ok then. Shcokinh customers service skills. I asked for owner to which he got the female. I said my reasons and she apologised but I won't be returning but I appreciate her apology ?

Apprehensive about visiting after reading the reviews but we were passing through the village. I?m so glad we stopped. The food was amazing and we were well fed arriving late to campsite to pitch up. The chips were lovely

Pretty awful. Sausage/chips x2, mini fish/ chips, mini fish on own, pitta with salad and pie and chips. Asked for meals to be in trays as we were eating alfresco, bill came to £39.60 which I thought WOW. Quick maths from the board came to £23 so I queried the price and she told me the extra was for the trays as trays were expensive!! I could have bought china for that!!! Sausage tasted terrible and small amount of brown lettuce in pitta! This chip shop is one to be avoided.
