Make sure you have a good look at the directions before you set off as signposts are few and far between around the lanes. A great selection of books, especially art and architecture. Cafe offers tasty cakes and soups but wear a warm jumper as cold inside.

Fascinating collection of books, from antiques and local interest , to art, botany and vintage fiction. A great little cafe, limited menu but everything was excellent.

Loved this place - a lot of interesting and reasonably priced books. Person serving was helpful and knowledable and good cake and coffee. Didnt spend long enough (just before closing time on xmas eve) but will next time in Shropshire.

A wonderful warehouse of second-hand books, run by helpful and knowledgeable owners. The bookshop spreads over two extensive floors, with the books intelligently divided by category and filed alphabetically, making it easier if you are looking for a specific author or subject.There is also an area among the books set aside as a tearoom, selling light lunches, home baking etc.In the first room as one goes in, there are cards and wrapping paper on sale (and Advent calendars, but that was probably because we visited in December).

Quirky and loads of stock - everything I want in a book shop. Tea in a proper teapot too in the cafe. Delighted to find the book I selected was signed by the author. Will definitely be back when next in the area.

A wonderful afternoon spent here on a very wet and chilly day. Brilliant food of a soup and toastie, which was perfect whilst snuggled up near the fire!! Such a fabulous array of books and a really warm and friendly vibe. I loved the mix of the old and new together, it makes for a fantastic time browsing through this brilliant treasure trove. I challenge any true bibliophile not to find something to their liking here! A genuinely beautiful place, with lovely, helpful staff. Can't give this enough stars.

Visited from Aberystwyth, well worth the journey. Wonderful bookshop, lots of new and secondhand books at prices to suit any pocket. Very friendly atmosphere, excellent little cafe selling delicious cakes, soup and drinks. Hard to leave without buying something. Will be returning!

Being huge fans of 'destination' bookshops we drove up from Cardiff last week. Had a really enjoyable day, it's a great bookshop in a beautiful location. Amazing selection of art & architecture books, a fantastic cafe beautifully surrounded by the cookery book section and one of the most imaginative children's areas I've seen. Add to that a glimpse of the adorable bookshop dog and a fruit and almond cake to die for and we were very happy customers! Found the books to be well priced and came away with an interesting selection.

Lovely family run company. Ordered a particular Roald Dahl biography that I was struggling to find in as new condition. Online ordering and it's a lovely place to visit. Highly recommended.????
