Great accommodations with first class service. We were treated like friends which felt very welcoming. The room was very comfortable and clean. Also, the surrounding town of Broseley offered everything possibly needed during our stay.

We had a lovely nights stay, attending a friends birthday party close by it was a perfect location and great value for money opposed to nightly taxi fares. Staff were really friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and contained everything we required, the bed was so comfortable - we had a great nights sleep even though we were road facing. The hotel is in the process of renovations and has so must potential.

Book hotel to attend a funeral so planned going the day before to help family. Checked before setting off after work on 14.03.23 to see I had received an email at 2pm to say our reservation had been cancelled and they could not accommodate us but no reason why despite confirmation through booking.com

We stayed two nights here, room only, while visiting a daughter in Broseley celebrating a special birthday. This hotel and its rooms have been beautifully restored. Our room was spacious and well equipped, as was the shower room, which was up one step from the bedroom. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. We had two excellent nights sleep. Even though our window opened onto the High Street there was no intrusive noise. The bar was a very pleasant place to drink. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. The only downside for us, being elderly, was that our room was on the top floor and one of the flights of stairs was incredibly steep ? the physical structure of the building prevented a more convenient solution. However the rest of the stairs were fine ? we?ll ask for a lower floor next time. We?ll certainly be staying here again, but in a lower room. Recommended.

The Lion was once a Coaching Inn, and the principal 19th century Inn in Broseley, a quirky front door, with historic wood paneling staircase and a great host. The rooms have recently been beautifully updated with modern decor whilst in keeping with the surroundings, they are very clean and comfortable. The host was welcoming, and friendly, we were visiting a local event and stayed over, breakfast was excellent, great selection of fresh produce as well as traditional cooked breakfast. Through friendly chat we established the host was very supportive of the local community too. Great location to stay near Ironbridge. Thank you

We had a fantastic stay here (27/29 Aug 2022). The owners are amazing, they will go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and meet your needs. Great room with all you need, very comfy bed. Great view and very quiet eventhough we were at the back near the beer garden. We viewed other rooms within the hotel... all were beautiful and clean, the larger room/mini apartment had a separate bedroom, bathroom with open plan lounge/kitchen..very well set out and stunning. Breakfasts were 10 out of 10/A++, vegan and vegetarian available options, with extras on request ... superb! We will definantly stay again and recommend this hotel.

Absolutely loved this hotel.Rooms where first class , service was second yo none. Owners went out of their way to make us feel very comfortable. Location is central to all amenities.I would highly recommend The Lion Hotel to anyone as a great place to stay .
