This is a lovely little pub in the heart of bridgenorth that has accommodations for you stop over night.
The pub it's self is lovely, the atmosphere is great.
BAD POINTS!
When arrived the staff member we asked about our room booking was not very forthcoming, we booked 2 weeks in advance at £90 per room to then be told on arrival that the prices had gone up to £100 during thos period (rudely might i add).
No explanation, no apology. We had rang that very morning to confirm our booking and was not told either.
The room was not worth £100, the shower was stuck on cold and the heating was stuck on full. The furniture was old and dated.
However the mattresses were comfy.
Would i recommend this as a stop over?
Not if they are changing prices at the drop of a hat without notice.

Quiet sunday evening

Noticeably deteriorating in all areas except the breakfast, Janice works miracles every morning and is a clear improvement on the previous staff.
Beer is good, rooms aren?t maintained sufficiently in my opinion
Bar staff are excellent and super friendly
Rooms: Room 1 is now luxury, the toilet door doesn?t shut and the toilet seat is in poor condition
When it wasn?t luxury ( and therefore is more expensive) the toilet door did shut
Maid service is barely meeting a standard

Lovely courtyard for a, drink. Loved the flowers, everywhere, so pretty. They only serve cobs for lunch so sadly can't comment on the food! It was a busy, hot day and it was full everywhere but got a table here for a cider. They do rooms here too, did not stay but they looked attractive!

Great weekend away here, two nights B&B. As always, spotlessly clean twin rooms located in the courtyard to the rear. Amazing buffet style quality hot breakfast, ideally situated for anything in Bridgnorth. Nothing too much trouble for Beryl who works wonders here

Been a while since been in. Beer is always well kept especially the Bathams. Very welcoming which surprised me. Turns out it is under new management. The previous gaffer always liked to serve his builder mates before others. Much better pub now.

The best pub/hotel in the town. Old traditional inn not the poshest place but great value for money. The pub is busy and has a great atmosphere and the staff are all polite and rooms go for 45 pounds per person with the breakfast included which is all you can have breakfast buffet all for just 10 pounds which u can have off the price of the room if you don?t want the breakfast. Great for fishers right on the river and great selection of beers and real ales all for around 4 pounds a pint or below. If you need a place to stop in Bridgnorth this is the place!
