Lodging in Bridgnorth, Shropshire

“Stayed here on a Sunday night. We thought it was generally very good, just out of Bridgenorth. It was VERY busy with people who obviously enjoy the carvery. So did we! There was a choice of starters too and some vegetarian options. The staff ( and there were plenty of them) were friendly and efficient. Our room was large and very comfortable overlooking a flat roof but with a pleasant country view beyond. The only downside for us was that when we'd finished eating around 8:30 there was nowhere for us to just sit and relax with a drink. After a long journey we'd have appreciated that. As tables were being set up for the following day we retreated to our room. Breakfast was excellent.

Walkability: The pub is in the countryside so nice and quiet if that's what you want

“Noticeably deteriorating in all areas except the breakfast, Janice works miracles every morning and is a clear improvement on the previous staff.

Beer is good, rooms aren’t maintained sufficiently in my opinion

Bar staff are excellent and super friendly

Rooms: Room 1 is now luxury, the toilet door doesn’t shut and the toilet seat is in poor condition
When it wasn’t luxury ( and therefore is more expensive) the toilet door did shut
Maid service is barely meeting a standard”

“Excellent in all ways,room very clean and tidy, bed very comfortable and shower nice and hot. Hotel facilities Excellent and located close to everything. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.”

“We've just returned from an over night stay. This is a lovely place to stay. Friendly. We paid for breakfast and it was very nice. Well presented. Only down side was we stayed in the Westgate room and it smelt of smoke. Someone had obviously been smoking out of the window. Definetly will return just in better weather. We stayed Sat 7th Dec with all those gales. Not a long walk into Town. But it was on that night due to the weather.”
