Just had a ?Take-a-Way? meal of various Indian dishes and sides all were cooked to perfection and really tasty, samosas were excellent and I can?t recommend the Peri Peri Chicken enough - it was amazing.

Stopped by for a pub meal. We had Rump steak and hunters chicken. Steak was tender (medium rare) perfectly cooked with mushrooms, onion rings and a tomato. Chicken was huge, well cooked with generous fries and good salad. It probably wasn't the very best steak I'd Eaton, but it was definitely up there amongst the best, especially for the price which was reasonable.

Been here a couple of times now, once for an event and once for dinner after a day out. Both times the food was great, staff were friendly. We tried a mix of options from the menu and the curries especially are really good. Prices are decent for a pub of its location too. Overall would visit again when near Shrewsbury.

We enjoyed our Sunday carvery and will be back for another carvery soon. Generous portions and a good selection of veg.
We had a look at the food menu for when it?s not a carvery and a mix of Indian and typical pub menu so will come try that sometime too.

We called into the Wingfield Arms on the off chance there would space for us to have Sunday lunch. The staff found us a table straight away, it was a Carvery, Gammon, beef and turkey, I had a bit of everything my partner had the beef, lots of vegetables and potatoes to choose from. Everything was cooked well and tasted nice, gravy was lovely. Also a choice of desserts. The restaurant was quite empty but it was later in the day. We will definitely be returning.

Never been before & husband was last here 40yrs ago! A wide selection of choices on the menu that caters for all & was surprised to see a selection of Indian & Chinese food! We opted for the lamb Rogan Josh & chicken tikka masala both came with pilau rice & naan bread included. Perfect sized portions and both were really tasty & temperature hot! Staff are very friendly & welcoming. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend

On our journey from Newton Powys to Birmingham, my family and I were looking for a good place to stop for dinner. We noticed The Wingfield Arms on the way and decided to give it a try?and we?re so glad we did!
The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of options to suit everyone in our group. The staff serving us were amazing?friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful, which made the experience even better.
The pub itself has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere, and the location is stunning, surrounded by beautiful scenery. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal after a long drive. The best part? It wasn?t too expensive, making it excellent value for money.
Overall, I can?t fault anything about this place. It truly deserves five stars for the food, service, and ambiance. Highly recommended!

Came here with my mum and 89 year old grandmother on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Pub was empty when we came in, but the staff were lovely and seated us and took our orders immediately. We weren?t sure what the food would be like as the menu is very large but it was incredible. They serve a mixture of Indian, Chinese and pub food. We had a steak ciabatta, jacket potato and chicken korma and it was all delicious. Definitely recommend and we will definitely be back.
