Lovely building and surrounds. Great sea view.
Came for midweek a la carte lunch. Most tables seemed to be having high tea.
Service was mixed but ok.
Steaks were overcooked compared to what was asked for. Chips were terrible. Full of grease and overcooked.
Certainly not restaurant quality food, more like ?hotel kitchen? quality.
Sorry, wanted to like it as it?s a nice drive to get there but the quality just isn?t there.

I never leave reviews but so disappointed tonight, can't fault the food it's delicious, but the service is sooooooo slow, staff are the opposite of attentive or there's just not enough of them.

The service here is absolutely appalling
2 adults
First night it took 40 mins for our starter to arrive and again long wait for mains that we didn?t even bother with dessert
On the 2nd day we thought go early 4pm ish restaurant was not busy
We had to ask to order drinks then other customers arrived they received their drinks we did not had to ask again for drinks, wrong drinks arrived. We waited a long time again for our starters which was prawn cocktail again we waited a long time for our mains and eventually asked for them. Their is no structure and staff seemed to be busy doing nothing or chatting

First time trying The Orange on my visit to Scotland, and I was so excited to find an entirely gluten-free afternoon tea! It was very tasty?great sandwiches and lovely sweet treats. The view from the restaurant is incredible, with a stunning 180-degree view of the Clyde. The space is bright and open, and the staff were nice. I?ll be back on my next visit!

First impressions not good had to wait to be seated as expected but no one about just starting to get uncomfortable when someone actually appeared and took us to our seat seats around us were ripped badly needing replaced not what you expect in an establishment like this service so poor waited ages on someone taking a drinks order as an after thought she took food order as well no water offered for the table no follow up drinks offer no cutlery when our mains came .. sorry to say food was average greasy tempura salmon should have came with Tiger prawns but only normal prawns not somewhere I will be rushing back to

Very disappointing main courses- some of the worst restaurant food we?ve had in a while. Desserts were very good though and service generally good. Wouldn?t return.

We had a gorgeous meal here last night. It was a treat for my daughter. We both enjoyed 3 courses in the Restaurant, the food was delicious and the portion sizes perfect. But what made it extra special was our server Lee , he was attentive and friendly and close by at all times.
It's wonderful to see such proffessional hospitality from someone so young. Hope the team are well rewarded for their great enthusiasm at work.

Lovely food but VERY slow service. Went for lunch and was there for 3 hours despite having only a main meal and coffees/cake.
Tables left with dirty dishes, cutlery, glasses and afternoon tea trays after customers had left.
Food was lovely though, so that was nice.

My wife and I have really loved the food on the last couple of visits. Like, seriously... The chef/chefs seem to have some classic French training or something. The service on the other hand is quite slow, not being able to catch anyone's eye, especially when it came to pay. During a quiet time the waiters were walking about ignoring the pile up of glasses and plates on other tables. Even brought out our dessert spoons and put them straight on to the kinda dirty table. Fair enough, can't always be perfect but the high quality food feels like the waiters should kinda be on top form too. Still... I'll come back because the food and scenery is worth it every time.

Came here for my birthday with family on Sunday afternoon. They had run out of house red wine and oatcakes but we weren?t told this when we ordered both these things. The service was very slow and food arrived at different times for all three courses. In general we had to wait ages for anything we asked for- we had to wait a long time just to ask for the bill. The meringue in the pavlova was very poor quality- definitely not made by them but like something bought from a supermarket. The setting for this restaurant is amazing, it?s just a shame that the service is not. This was very disappointing and I won?t be rushing back to this restaurant.
