Ordered fish and chips ,plus a beetroot burger and chips ,the batter on the fish was as hard as a brick and the fish was as dry as the desert.if the other chip shop round the corner was open i would go there far better fish and chips.i will not be going back to this one avoid at all costs

Spectacularly bleh. Fish was tasteless with a hard-to-crack batter. Tartar sauce is not included and an add on of £3, kind of a ripoff as it was also tasteless. Chips could have used an extra minute in the fryer. Mushy peas were alright. All this for £19 which is only worthwhile if the food is actually good. This place and the coffee shack are affiliated with The Seaforth, which does not portend well. The cappuccino was actually a latte with the mill scalded, it was so hot. I regret I have to give them a star at all

August 2024. Great place! We had coffee and were entertained by the music of this young man. Quick stop before we returned to the boat. Nice, friendly people in this town.

How dissapointing. It's quite inviting on the outside, also the staff was really nice but 3£ for to tablespoons of tartar sauce? The fish & chips had a reasonable price, but a very bland taste. The chips were sloppy and tasted old, the fish inside the crunchy batter tasted very fishy, so we didn't eat much of it.

If you fancy fish and chips and you?re unfortunate enough to find yourself in Ullapool, go round the corner ? or prepare to be massively disappointed and leave feeling utterly robbed.
I?m convinced this chippy doesn?t actually want customers.
Awfully rude staff who all need lessons in basic manners. The fish was absolutely rank, with super small portion sizes that wouldn?t satisfy an infant ? and to top it all off, it costs a fortune. £30 for three pieces of fish with no chips?! Absolute daylight robbery.
The only people who unironically eat here are native, busy-bodied grandads who think wearing a lime green polo shirt is fashionable in the 21st century ? when in reality, they?re just an eyesore. Just like the staff that served us our food. ?
Overall, it?s an awful place that attracts awful people. Do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs ? this place is a joke of an establishment.

Don?t bother?Had the fish and chips. The fish fell right out of the soggy fried batter. They charge you extra for tiny packets of ketchup and mayo and tartar sauce. Weak.

They charged 3£ for tartar sauce, better to buy extra fish for 2£ more. But fish is really good.

Very underwhelming chippy.
We had a black pudding supper, fish supper and chicken nugget supper.
Chips had an odd taste. Cooked well but a strange savoury flavour.
The same with the batter on the fish and the black pudding.
The fish itself was fresh and the black pudding tasted good, just not the batter it was encased in.
I consider myself an expert at reviewing chippys and this definitely is way off the mark.

As a devoted Google reviewer, don't believe the low rating in my opinion. We received excellent service and delicious fresh fish and chips. My husband and I both ordered a large haddock and chips (each - one is pictured) and both couldn't finish them. We ate on the designated benches and enjoyed a lovely dinner. Recommend!

£28 for 2 fish & chips. Terrible food but the lady was very nice otherwise 1 star. Post nut clarity after that. Do not recommend. Fish was chewy and chips were very pale yellow and slightly undercooked.
