Lovely gift shop with nice attentive staff and an excellent lemon drizzle cake. Bought quite a few little things including a beautiful aromatic candle.

Yet another great start to our holiday recently, with our fourth visit this year to this wonderful Award winning tearoom and gift shop. We have been visiting Tea by the Sea since they opened 6 years ago and they are always extremely welcoming and polite, it is always one of our favourite places to stop on route up to the far north west corner of Sutherland We have always experienced a great quality in all this time and especially the freshly baked cakes which are absolutely delicious, the Bakewell tart is so good we always take extra for our next leg of our stay in central Scotland The gift shop has very classy and offers unique gifts for everyone?s taste and price range Keep up the good work Joanne, Jo and all the team because you are appreciated by so so many tourists and locals alike and the Awards you have achieved prove that and speak for themselves Can?t wait to see you all in the Spring of next year Mandy and Dave

Not the place to go if you want a good cup of coffee. An amazing coffee machine which involves pressing only one button to produce a whole plethora of hot drinks. Neither a cafe nor a decent gift shop.

Lovely little cafe.

Lovely pies. Tea and coffee. Not much room inside and raining so wet tables outside. Bathrooms available and very well kept. Tempting souvenir buys.

We stopped here while on our road after having read the reviews and we couldn?t have been more disappointed. Firstly this is a gift shop, not a cafe, it has a few tables outside but as it was raining we chose to sit at one of the two tables Inside. We were not even greeted by the lady behind the till so we just sat down, after a few minutes of silence we helped ourselves to the menu which was very limited. I opted for a pie as there was not many hot options. We eventually ordered but there was very little conversation and a smile would have been nice. Food was served fairly quickly and I knew it was ready when I heard the dinner gong go (the microwave). We left quite quickly as we clearly felt like we were a nuisance. As we were away to pay somebody came in looking for takeaway food and was offered a bacon sandwich. I have since read on here that they were tasty, I wish I had tried it however it was not on the menu, maybe I had helped myself to the wrong one. Sadly we will not be back

This little cafe and shop may be small but it is perfectly formed! We had the most delicious bacon sandwiches (some of the best we?ve ever had!) and treated ourselves to some wonderful sustainable placemats. The quality of the products in store and the service we received made for a great first stop in the beautiful Ullapool.

We stopped for tea and cake on our road trip NC500 route around Scotlands north cost. Lovely ladies, tea and coffee were decent however cakes were amazing. Excellent location looking out the loch and a lovely back drop of mountains. A lovely place to enjoy a cup of tea. Most importantly what stood out for me was how clean and very well presented their bathrooms/toilets were.

Beautiful little cafe/shop by the Ullapool harbour with nice souvenirs and delicious cakes. The chocolate caramel cake was excellent. Perfectly sweet, light and moist - and vegan!

Coffee was from a machine and wasn?t very good. Main issue was I ordered the runny scotch egg. It was not runny at all and was close to hard boiled. I raised this with staff who said the sign is wrong and they need to change it. No apologies, no alternative offered. If they know their sign is wrong why not mention it when I asked about the scotch egg initially?!Think I was either lied to/fobbed off and the staff overcooked the scotch egg accidentally, or if not then it?s just a pure scam to make something sound much better than it actually is.Icing on the cake was no apology or acknowledgement they?d messed up. Was £4.95 for the warm runny scotch egg (which wasn?t runny at all). Was akin to a supermarket scotch egg warmed in the microwave.100% would not recommend.

Sad to echo others experience. Miserable service, extraordinary exploitative prices - for tea or coffee, tasteless cakes - ironically must be their intention to deter Ullapool visitors

Unsure where Weedge is coming from re Tea by the Sea. Visited several times and always had a lovely welcome. Fabulous home bakery and a very varied choice. A variety of gifts to suit all budgets along with a lovely Italian clothing range.

Lovely cafe/gift shop. The pies and scotch eggs were delicious. Don?t get me started on the Rasberry Shortbread, it was DIVINE! Almost worth another trip for another piece of that alone. The staff were lovely, helpful and blethered away. Toilet was very clean. Definitely a must when you are visiting Ullapool. Right on the front, we were lucky to get cracking weather too which made it even more enjoyable. Thank you ladies, we?ll be back!
