Lovely place to visit but not mid winter

Sadly, this rating reflects the treatment we received at the golf club, not at the hotel itself. The service at the hotel was fantastic as were the staff that attended to usWe visited Scotland/Ireland for a golf vacation and played some incredible, world-class courses. We didn't have the time to play at Troon but decided to stay one night on our way back to Edinburgh where we were flying out the following day.Shortly after checking-in and settling in we walked the property and entered the clubhouse. We entered the dining area and asked if we could have a drink there to enjoy the view of the course. A middle-aged gentleman walked towards us and abruptly said "no" and stated the dining area was for members only and told us "you need to leave". We were never asked if we were members or if we had golfed there. We were just met with extremely rude behavior and are disappointed at the sexist and racist behavior exhibited to us.

"I had a great time playing golf at Royal Troon Golf Club. The course is in excellent condition, and the views are breathtaking. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the clubhouse is beautiful. I highly recommend this course to any golf enthusiast!"

As good as a golf course can be

Great experience playing an open championship course. The tension just teeing off was crazy and I sliced the ball into the beach. For a private club that tells you to take your hat off inside it did not seem exclusive enough. The course has 90-104 bunkers but not 1 for you to practice on. The practice green was something like a municipal course in the USA. The practice range is all mats - like why esp if grass grows in abundance. The indoor range needs to have Trackman or top tracer but it does not. The club needs to modernize the golf practice experience basically. Still I would absolutely play this course again. Was just awe inspiring. The restaurant was amazing. The holes from 7 on are total delights. Bunker expertise is crucial. Also side note : jet planes the fly into Prestwick are right over you and is lot of fun. I am sure Bryson DeChambeau will get his drive to reach the plane. Scott's is a nice restaurant in the village

No problem with petrol station prices always fair and visit regularly just a pity on Saturday night as I was using costa machine I accidently knocked over my coffee and was charged for 2 cups it would have been a nice gesture to deal with that differently

This is a must play course. Very different than US golf. Bunkers are very challenging but worth the experience.

Very poor service. Everything was made more difficult than it should have been. Food wasn?t good.

My first experience of the majestic links golf that Scotland has to offer and I'm completely hooked. What a course! Not long but brutal for the unwary. Played as a members guest and loved every single moment. Definitely one for the bucket list. I was net 1 over shooting a 95 ???????????
