My Peugeot 304 cabriolet has just been through a thorough inspection at Kinkell, and it's now booked in for the work that needs doing. It's unusual to find a family-run business with such a breadth of experience in every aspect of keeping a classic car on the road and in good condition, and I'm very pleased with the helpful way everything was handled.

Whilst sourcing and ahead of me purchasing my Bentley Arnage, I made contact with Kinkell Classic Cars, enquiring if they would take care of my car from a servicing and repair point of view. The response I received was very positive and they even gave me advice and assistance during my search and procurement process, which was really useful and much valued. I'm in my third year of ownership with my Bentley and remain a willing Customer of Kinkell Classic Cars. During this period they have taken care of all routine servicing and given good advice in respect of servicing approaches and products. After 14000 miles of trouble free motoring, the time came for my 24 year old Bentley to "throw a few curved balls" around the cooling system, brakes and electrics. It's at these times the professional knowledge and tenacity of the Kinkell Team really comes into play. They are truly solution seekers and providers; no long sighs of woe from these chaps, just a proper determination to solve what ever problem might be thrown up along the way. Successful outcomes seem to be their only acceptable position, which as a (non mechanic) classic car owner is all I ever want to hear. Kinkell Classic Cars have enabled me to enjoy my Bentley and I'd heartily recommend classic car owners to consider them for all car related matters. All their competency is supported by the most friendly considerate Team, making routine matters a pleasure and a tricky technical issues more manageable. Garage and workshop services befitting of the Classic Cars they support, delivered in a positive friendly style. Five Stars for sure!Services: Steering & suspension repair

Definitely would not recommend that you use these guys.I paid in advance for a full engine rebuild which was supposed to be fitted back in the car but instead it came home on a pallet. They lost major components including the flywheel, the cylinder head bolts were loose, copious amounts of sealant everywhere. They claim to of had it running but are completely unwilling /unable to provide any evidence.I even gave them a workshop manual but as David knows it all it remained unopened

I dealt with David and Richard at Kinkell Classic Cars recently for the first time following a personal recommendation. I was thinking of purchasing a vehicle and commissioned Kinkell to do a full inspection of the vehicle for me. The job was thorough, professional with full inspection report and a serious of videos. This allowed we to make a very informed decision on purchase. I was extremely impressed by the knowledge and advice I received and having now made the planned purchase and I will be using David and Richard?s services to help me look after my new purchase. Thanks guys.

Was delighted to renew an old acquaintance with the owner operators at Kinkell Classic Cars. Having recently purchased a Modern Classic Car it was imperative that I found somewhere reasonably local to myself who were capable of carrying out an extensive service and inspection on my vehicle including carrying out of the annual MOT. I was further filled with confidence when I was invited to visit and meet up with the whole team and to discuss what I was expecting to be carried out and furthermore was given various choices and recommendations on what i could do in order to preserve my vehicle in pristine condition. During these discussions it was easily noticeable that they were all very knowledgeable in their individual trades and this was further realised when on completion of a 1,2 & 4yearly service schedules and renewal of the vehicles annual MOT to completion. Again to be invited to visit and see the completed works and for them to take the time to in show me in detail the condition and end results of their labour and my expenditure was a pleasant surprise and went a long way to confirming that my Pride & Joy had been well and truly in great hands with all agreed works completed expertly, on time and for a very reasonable cost. They'll certainly have my future custom for as long as I own my Modern Classic. Thankyou Team KCC. ( And by the way Dave actually makes an excellent coffee so don't forget to claim yours!)Services: Brakes

A five star google review just doesn?t seem to do these guys justice. Simply put Kinkell Classic Cars is a wonderful garage run by true enthusiasts who are in it for the love of it rather than to make as much money as possible from their customers. This is the third garage my Triumph GT6 has been in in the highlands. It?s not that the other two were bad, but ongoing issues hadn?t been fixed so I took it to Kinkell Classic Cars.David and Richard made me feel like a member of the family, they took about 2 hours to walk around my car to discuss what I was wanting done, what they immediately saw needed fixing and what they planned to do. Throughout the four weeks my car was with them I had regular calls from them to keep me updated on how the work was progressing, things needing addressing, recommendations beneficial to the car and importantly my enjoyment of it and the cost of everything.Kinkell Classic Cars have transformed my GT6 from only looking good to now being reliable and driving as good as it looks (and it looks great). The work David and Richard have done to my car has increased my enjoyment of my car immeasurably and for that I am truly thankful.I cannot speak more highly of this wonderful family run classic car restorer. If you need anything done to your classic, I encourage you to take it to Kinkell Classic Cars.

I moved back to Scotland a year or so ago and was looking for a specialist to work on my Jaguar XJS and other classic cars. David and Richard are straight up guys with great knowledge and expertise. They have helped me solve complex issues with my 6L V12 xjs. A certain "leading" XJS specialist in the UK had made a real mess of my car and Kinkell diagnosed the issues quickly and in detail. They have outlined a plan of action to rectify the issues and have been extremely helpful throughout. Kinkell offer expert knowledge and experience at a reasonable price.....highly recommended. If you want to have work done on your classic car...look no further.

I have just brought Penelope home - bought unseen at South Western Vehicle Auctions - after 4 days of checking & servicing at Kinkell Classics. They were very thorough and professional and went through everything: changing what was needed, improving things like the filters and battery (plus so much more) and explained everything clearly and logically to me, a person who has no discernible skills in this area. And they pointed out the things I need to consider for the future. I couldn't have been more pleased & impressed with the the work done, the communication and the result. She purred along happily at 50 on the way back to Strathpeffer and will be a very well-loved addition to our family. So thank you to David, Richard and Tina. Penelope will be checked back in to Kinkell Classics next summer for a service and much-needed interior improvements.Services: Brakes

Good all round service. Both father and son knew what they were talking about and did the work with ease.Nothing was too much trouble. Some of the restoration work is unbelivable in some instances better than original spec.Services: Brakes

I recently visited Kinkell Classic cars to pick up some bodypanels for a Lancia Montecarlo and spent a good hour or more looking around and chatting to Richard and Dave. Fascinating place and what's immediatley apparent is the enthisiasm they both have for classics of all kinds. There were British, Italian and American makes around the workshop being repaired to a very high standard. Quality of the work was top notch and if I didn't live so far away I'd have no hesitation in taking my Lancia to Kinkell for the restoration work to be done. 100% recommendation from me!
