“A very friendly welcome in this lovely old hotel in Tomintoul. Nice twin room, good shower pressure. Oddly, no towel rail in the bathroom. Excellent venison casserole for dinner. Good selection on the breakfast menu. Kindly made me a sandwich for my lunch on the Speyside Way. Would happily stay again.”

“I ate dinner at the Hotel Square during a Land’s End to John O’Groats cycle tour. Several colleagues on the trip also stayed at the hotel and were given a hot toddy on arrival! (I stayed elsewhere). The food was exceptional and service was also very efficient and friendly. A good selection of whiskies, and happy to give advice on favorite whiskies, too! The hotel itself looked pretty amazing, and I would definitely dine there again if I was in the area - but next time I'll stay there, too.”
