We are renovating our house and visited the showroom (at Sterling Furniture, near Stirling) to scope a bathroom and kitchen replacement. Our children left the showroom in tears due to the disrespectful and patronizing manner in which the manager talked to us about their behaviour. Our children were exploring the kitchen displays and role playing at one of the kitchen islands, e.g. playing with some of the place settings and plastic fruit. The manager said that the 'showroom isn't a softplay'. My daughter became especially upset by his tone, body language, and aggressive stance. It was not befitting of the brand and Kitchens International should investigate the matter. I also got the distinct impression that both he and his assistant had judged that we could not afford the products. This may have clouded their approach because they did not try to offer us any help nor did they try to explain the products. This is far from reality. We are genuinely in a fortunate position to be able to invest in high end products without compromise. I have never felt so aggreived by a sales representative. He should think carefully about how he acts towards potential clients. His conduct was unprofessional and simply rude. He did not care that he made my young children cry.
