Great place for food anytime. We were heading to Stirling but thought, why bother? Haddock and steak pie were delicious and good to see halloumi back on the menu. Service was very good and the beers were excellent, always well kept and well received. We will be back soon, by train.

Had a half hour to kill for a train decided to grab a quick drink. It?s pretty quiet in the bar however I was left standing only for three people to come in get served and then serve someone in front of me yet again. Let me make this perfectly clear it was not busy there was no easy mistake this was pure ignorance they chose to walk past me. I strongly advise against this place the staff are nothing short of a disgrace

Went for dinner tonight, waited around an hour to be served, yorkshire pudding pretty much burnt, dinner very salty, asked for hand cut chips due to dietary requirements and got skin on chips but didn't complain as waited long enough on our meal. Certainly not worth the money.

Been in a few times and nice enough, staff good, dog friendly, etc. Really disappointed when in on 1st July to hear a foul mouthed bigot waxing lyrical about some guy. Everyone could hear this idiot! There were kids in the small room at the rear along with couples out for a few drinks. Staff should have stepped in and stopped the vulgar language coming from this guy. I'm sure it's not the custom the place wants.

Visited for a meal after seeing the launch of the new menu. Was not disappointed atall! Service was impeccable and the food was faultless. Very light and fresh tasting. Will be back to try something else!

great food, great service.. havent been here for a while as last menu choixes were pretty bland and plain. heard a new menu was due to start, so had to try. great choice of specials! Went for the caprese burger!! Wow! clearly upping there game and obviously better and more talented chefs onboard now! will be back!

Have previously enjoyed dining at this restaurant, but last night was the worst experience ever. We were a party of 8 of which for mains we had fish, chicken, burger and, for myself, pork ribs. Not one of us had a positive comment about the mains. The fish seemed to have been a frozen piece, the chicken was dry, the burger awful and my pork ribs were so overcooked it was difficult eating them. Similar to a previous review, no member of waiting staff asked at any time whether the food was to our satisfaction. When it cam to desserts, we might as well have gone to Candied for an ice-cream as there was virtually nothing available from the menu or the specials. The only saving grace for The Station were the starters. The Cullen Skink and French Onion soup were great. Surprisingly for our group, we didn?t complain to staff. However, the fact that, as we were leaving, the staff were sitting down to carry out Chinese meals, seemed testament to how bad the kitchen produce was. The word on the Larbert streets is that there has been a change of chef. Let?s hope he?s on a short probationary period and gets booted to allow a good chef back in. Come on Station Hotel, we know you can do better than this, but we?ll be going elsewhere on Friday?s until we hear of a change of chef.

I had attended the station with a couple of friends on sat the 13/05/23 can I state that we a are regulars Apon arrival we were shown to our table rudley ! We were not greeted in a mannor that?s welcoming whatsoever Ordered our food and it took 35 minutes to come to which was freezing and could have taken the filling out my tooth it was so hard ! We?ll over cooked We had no check back from waitress I?m in every month for a meal with my partner and never had a meal like it til sat I always enjoyed my meal previously and that?s why I came back at the weekend Won?t be back again You need to employ a chef that can cook and staff that have good customer service skills Their rude don?t smile and have no people skills at all The chef is clearly a new chef but cannot provide good quality food like it used to be. The man owner should not be the owner as he?s rude arrogant and disrespectful to his customers Avoid at all costs

Excellent staff, wonderful customers who all made our experience truly welcoming and great! Thank you. Been here before so couldn?t miss it out ! Really great selection of malts and well kept beers. If passing on the train GET OFF and pop in ! As they?ll be another train along soon??.

We attended on Sunday 22nd for a impromptu lunch .I ordered the Steak Pie , While I would have to say the pie itself was as good as any steak pie Iv ever had everything else associated with the visit was at best poor and at worst appalling.I just can?t get that such a great job was done with the difficult bit but the easier parts so bad . The chips were awful , a mix of very small overcooked chips and some that were not so bad , veg bland too . The worst part though was the service , Normally good practice for front of house staff to do a check back shortly after service to make sure things are satisfactory , Our check back was added on while the plates were collected .Now this is the key part , There is a good reason our server never had time to do her correct procedure.During our meal she had to remove 2 dogs from the restaurant 5 times , I would assume that these dogs either belong to staff or the owners .This really isn?t acceptable to have animals running freely around a food outlet .

Went into hotel for the first time. Ordered a lunch, my wife had lovely lentil and ham soup with crusty bread, I had breaded mushrooms with salad, delicious and good portion. Main courses were bacon cheese burger, delicious. Wife had macaroni cheese with garlic bread and salad. Quality perfect, staff were so lovely. 2young girls were very nice and efficient. Will definitely be back.
