A beautiful hotel in the picturesque settlement of Kilfinan in the heart of Argyll's Secret Coast. Comfortable rooms with quality furnishings; throws and cushions from Bute Fabric and Arran Aromatic toiletries. The whole hotel is well presented in a traditional Scottish style without being a tartan cliche. Great food, using local ingredients, can also be enjoyed in the cosy lounge or the bar. The staff are welcoming and helpful with suggestions for local walks.

We went as a family for a ?last night? holiday dinner. The weather was amazing, the staff were lovely & welcoming and the food was really good. We will definitely go back next time we are in the area.

I've been to some hidden gems in my time but the Kilfinan Hotel absolutely takes the biscuit. The grandeur of a highland hotel paired with the cosiness of an English inn and delightful scandi touches. Becky and Ignes made us feel really welcome, the food was sublime and very reasonably priced, and the whole area around the hotel is incredible: it's so quiet, and yet the beaches and hills are stunning - the Cowal peninsula really is the secret bit of west Scotland no-one tells you about. You will leave rested, refreshed, well fed and happy. 1000% recommended.

Was invited for dinner and what a joy it was to step back into the hotel I worked in for 26 years! New owner and new management! Beautifully refurbished, cosy and very friendly. Great food, limited choice but absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Rooms are beautiful too.Just a pity there are no curtains in the lounge area and restaurant. The Harris tweed curtains are beautiful everywhere.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at the Kilfinan hotel this past weekend when we came up to attend a wedding in the area. Helena and Chris were excellent hosts. The lounge/bar area was comfortable and welcoming (log fire much appreciated!). The rooms were very comfortable, too. We had a fabulous dinner there on Saturday evening and delicious breakfasts both mornings. We really appreciated how friendly the atmosphere was and, of course, lovely getting to know Edie the adorable golden labrador. Can recommend for sure!

A fantastic wee hotel with only 8 rooms. Great wee bar with some lovely French house wines. The owners, Helena and Chris are kind and helpful and they have a lovely Golden Retriever called Edie. Great views from the outdoor seating to the rear and a sun trap on nice days. French cuisine in the beautifully decorated restaurant. Great breakfasts too. Good value for money.

If you want a hotel in the back of beyond that?s only open Thursday to Monday (sometimes), doesn?t serve booze or snacks at lunchtime, and has an evening restaurant window of two hours, the Kilfinan is the place for you??.enjoy??

Stayed overnight to visit the MacEwan cairn. The owners were super friendly. Bed was a bit firm for my taste but large and the bathroom was very clean. I would recommend staying here.

Excellent hosts and accommodation - you could not want for more It is quite a rural very dog friendly retreat but with easy access to Tighnabruich, Portavadie, Tarbert, Bute ( Rothesay) and beyond Food excellent and keenly priced, given the location
